We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage which was very comfy and well-equipped. Lots to see and do in the area. The cottage is a fantastic place for stargazing if you get clear nights.
The cottage is large, warm and very spacious. The ensuite bedrooms are roomy with good facilities. The kitchen is large and very well equipped. There are many interesting places to visit in the area and we very much enjoyed our visit to the Old Post Office Coffee Shop in Woodchurch.

Many thanks Sylvia. Always welcome!
Look forward to seeing you again.
Kind regards,

This is a lovely property in a beautiful, peaceful location. The accommodation had everything we needed for our two week stay. We had a fantastic family holiday!
Would highly recommend.
Beautiful, clean home with excellent modern conveniences and almost everything we could possibly need! Upstairs bed was more comfortable than downstairs one. Kitchen well equipped for cooking. Could have done with some washcloths, Kleenex, and maybe some laundry detergent but we managed to get those items in Tenterden so not a big deal. Loved being able to walk into town for breakfasts at The Old Post Office, as well as basic grocery supplies from the small shop and butcher. Pubs in village were OK but kitchens were closed so not a lot of immediate dining options. That said, Ashford, Tenterden and surrounding areas were easily accessible by car with great shops and restaurants and we were even able to get delivery from UberEats when we didn’t want to drive anywhere.Overall a fantastic stay in nearly every way.
Absolutely no complaints about any aspects of the house, everything was as required and as advertised just a tad short of a homely atmosphere if I was being super critical

Thank you for leaving a review. I cannot understand after your overall comments why we have only received one star from you!
The house is a fantastic property exceeded expectations and pictures! Perfect location for lovely pubs restaurants and close enough to the seaside! The only minor observation would be to go above and beyond and perhaps supply a small welcome pack? And to be fair our other bug bear of most holiday rentals would be the lack of basic cleaning supplies and co consumables so tick that box and you would blow our minds even more. A beautiful break away from reality

JUST WONDERFUL
First impressions : We arrived at around 5pm in January, we had a little
trouble finding it in the dark, however when we did, we were wowed!
Wonderful and Spacious and exactly as per the photos.
My Wife is from Panama and we had our first anniversary staying here and
it was wonderful. We later had family over to join us and we had a
wonderful time at the property and it served our needs perfectly for the
5 of us staying in the three rooms. There are additional rooms which
were locked which we are assuming are for other unfinished/unfurnished
rooms or storage rooms, so this could accommodate more people if needed.
There was also a smaller box room for meetings/office work if needed,
with a small desk. The property has excellent heating and water
facilities in all the rooms and the beds were perfectly comfortable.
Everything was relatively new at the property as well, so it all felt
fresh.
Extremely minor points -
Add a casserole dish and lid - We couldn't find one. No big issue at
all though as everything else was there!
The DVD player is only available in the ground floor bedroom and its a
built into the TV, so its quite small, in comparison to the other rooms.
Directions - In the summer when its bright, its fine, but in winter it
is so dark in the evening when we arrived, we couldn't see much at all.
So perhaps make a small amendment to the final directions and add more
reference points if possible for somewhere in "lower road" itself.
We will definitely stay again. Thank you Tim, outstanding!

You rarely get a house so well equiped and finished to such a high standard. We would love to come back someday as there is much more to explore in the area!
Kind regards,
Ria
A smart spacious modern home, well presented and in a lovely quiet village setting. We enjoyed walking round the village, visiting the Musuem, and the property is nicely situated to visit other parts of Kent and East Sussex. Would definitely recommend and will return.
We had a lovely time staying at the Woodchurch cottage over the Christmas week. The house was very spacious and the open plan and facilities were great. The lead up to our booking was very well organised and the check in and check out very easy. We had family from overseas visiting so this huge house for Christmas was everything we needed. I would definitely love to visit again. Woodchurch was very quiet- such a relaxing stay from busy London.
Thanks for some great memories made over Christmas :)
Overall great stay! Host was available when needed. Property was extremely comfortable.
Tim was amazing as a host. He was easily accessible when needed but yet afforded us the privacy we desired. Location of property was very convenient. It was just 15 min away from a train station that can get one to London in 38 min if desired! Location was also remote where one was able to have true peace and quiet and really disconnect if needed. The house itself was extremely comfortable. It was really nice to have on suite bathrooms in all of the bedrooms. The facilities within the house were excellent! Overall we really enjoyed our stay.
This cottage is the perfect place for a quiet holiday. It has everything you need and is an ideal base for visiting many National Trust and English Heritage sites.
It is a lovely house, very modern and we really enjoyed the stay. What we missed was a sunshade and cushions for the seats outside. Nevertheless we would book the house again.
The position of the village of Woodchurch is in a just right area within an easy drive to coastal towns (Margate Broadstairs Dover Rye etc.)as well as P.O.I. including Battle Abbey Chartwell and other N.T. and English Heritage properties .
The cottage is very well provided for with everything that is required to enjoy a recommended holiday .

Very modern high end property. Comfortable, clean and ideally situated for exploring the area.
This cottage is extremely comfortable and spacious with plenty crockery and utensils. We liked it so much we have already rebooked. We have left leaflets from many of the places we visited for future visitors information. Both pubs do great food at reasonable prices. Just a note for the less agile, if you have the downstairs bedroom there is no grab rail in the shower or rubber mat so be careful as it can be a bit slippery. We would thoroughly recommend this property for quiet base for exploring Kent.

Super Place
Stayed here with my mother and father in law. Accomodation is excellent . Contemporary design in side. Kitchen is fully equipped with all that is needed. Beds very comfortable.
Bathrooms beautiful. The ground floor bedroom was a brilliant space for my Mum .
The garden area lacks natural shade as there is no planting there. However when the bifold doors are open you might as well be in the shade but outside. Thanks very much Tim .

About the host
Hosted by Tim Bourne
My name is Tim. I run a Self-Catering holiday let business speciallising on kent, called Kent Holiday Cottages. 15yrs ago i built Kuschels Cottage near Bethersden in Kent that offers 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom detached accommodation and decided to go one better in 2017 and build Georges Cottage. I took into consideration what all of my guests were ideally looking for and built it into this lovely cottage in a village my family have been part of since 1675. Walking up to the pub or village coffee shop are a joy!
Why they chose this property
There are very few 3 bedroom cottages with such good size rooms and all en-suite. The showers are all of good size and there is a bath on the groundfloor bathroom with a walk in shower. This is ideal for those who are not able to negotiate stairs. The garden is a private area which is fenced, but with a gate to the parking area and front door to help easy access. You look out to fields and the village green with is child friendly area at the top.
What makes this property unique
This property boasts 4 W/Cs. One in each of the 3 main bedrooms and one in a utility room so two on the ground floor and two upstairs. The cottage has more than adequate storage and would be enough space if it was your own home in many cases. Wi-Fi is generally very good and reliable, but this cannot be gauranteed of course as with anywhere.
