When we arrive, the owner Elizabeth had left a tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and a cake which was beautiful, she came and introduced herself that evening, and explained about rubbish collection and what was happening down in town that week. It was only a 10 minute walk into town. Shops i.e. Tesco's etc a 5 minute drive away. Location great as a central point to travel around and great walks from this point. Thank you Elizabeth we had a great time. Michele
Property is situated in a quiet road which eventually becomes a very narrow lane. The house has fabulous views to the rear overlooking the Camel estuary but there are properties opposite which overlook the house. Perhaps net curtains might be advantageous particularly in the front bedroom where the twin beds are. The house is perfectly alright but somewhat dated in appearance. Kitchen equipment is adequate but means regular washing up to keep the supplies going. Extension to kitchen was lovely and highlighted the views over the extensive rear garden and fields beyond. We would echo the comments from previous people about the excellent shower. There were problems with the toaster but Jenny replaced this within hours for us and also advised us when the electricity tripped out...apparently this has happened before but the electrician cannot find the reason why! A big thank you to Jenny for our welcome tray and for checking that all was well on our arrival. Much appreciated. A good location for travelling to various parts of Cornwall. All in all an enjoyable holiday.
Fabulous time. Convenient for wadebridge which was a short 5-10 minute walk down hill. I’d recommend taking a bike so you can do the camel trail. Would definitely recommend
