About this property

The apartment is located on the ground floor of an elegant building, has an independent entrance and an external condominium courtyard in the countryside. 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds, living room with double sofa bed. 2 bathrooms one with shower. Kitchen equipped with microwave, kettle, fridge, freezer, coffee machine. Also washing machine, WiFI, air conditioning.
It is a short distance from the bus stop for the 360 bus to Termini Station and 628 to the center, even if the Colosseum is easily reached on foot from our apartment (around 20 minutes).
The house is a 5-minute walk from Metro Line A in two stops San Giovanni or Re di Roma.
We are very close to the ancient Appian Way, surrounded by greenery, where between ruins and old farmhouses it is possible to take long walks and reach famous Roman archaeological finds such as the tomb of Cecilia Metella and the Catacombs of S. Sebastian, S. Callisto and Domitilla.
Through Porta Metronia you arrive along the Rione Celio.
The Appio-Latino district, quiet and full of greenery, is commonly called San Giovanni, from the name of the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano.
Its name derives from the fact that the district's territory extends between the Appia Antica and Appia Nuova streets and is crossed by the Via Latina.
It is a district that acts as a "hinge" between the historic center and the Appia Antica park, the oldest consular road built in 313 a. C.
A territory characterized by a substantial archaeological and naturalistic heritage, but also by a strong commercial development, helped by the opening of the underground line that crosses the entire Town Hall.
The Parco della Caffarella deserves a separate mention, in which, to the precious archaeological evidences, a remarkable naturalistic heritage is added. The whole area has recently undergone an extraordinary redevelopment intervention, giving citizens back the pleasure of a walk between greenery and history.

Quiet apartment in lovely area - easy to get to areas of Rome

The property is located in the courtyard of a apartment block which means it is sheltered from much of the noise of the street, etc. It was very clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay including Wifi, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, etc. My bed was very comfortable. There was another bedroom however this did not have a door so may be good for a child but not for someone who is sharing. The bathroom was clean and stocked well too however, the shower handle needs fixing as the water did not come out very well. I would stay here again.

Toppenboende

Uppfyllde väl förväntningarna på boendet. Ett plus med uteplatsen. Boendet ligger en bit från turiststråken men det som var plus med det är att få äta mycket God mat till ett bra pris i området där bara italienare äter. Fanns Metro ca 10 min bort.

Agréable

Nous avons passé un bon séjour. Rossella est difficile à joindre (le numéro de téléphone indiqué sur la plateforme n'était pas le bon) mais l'accueil a été assuré par Matéo qui a été ponctuel, accueillant et nous a fourni toutes sortes d'informations. Le logement n'est pas comme indiqué dans l'annonce à 20 minutes à pieds du Colisée mais plutôt 30 minutes. De même les stations de métro sont à 15 minutes de marche et non 5. L'appartement est assez humide et une partie des équipements vieillissants (sanitaires), la température de l'eau très difficile à régler dans la douche. Malgré tout l'appartement a son charme et le calme du quartier est appréciable.
