Excellent self-catering gite on the banks of the Dordogne
Comfortable 2 bedroom ground-floor gite that is workable for a disabled person. I was even able to negotiate the gite and the gravelled front area in a manual wheelchair. The owners live next door but there is a property manager (William/Sophie) who will attend to any need or question you might have. There is a shady back garden, with decking and a barbeque area. The kitchen is well equipped for most purposes, but we advised the manager that more electrical points would be helpful. The surrounding area is beautiful - St Cyprien is between Bergerac and Sarlat-La Canéda. Highly recommended as a base for either couples or a young family.

Thank you David for taking the time to review your stay at La Gardonnette.
So glad that the property suited your requirements and that you both enjoyed it and its location by the river.
Your point regarding the need for additional electrical sockets has already been actioned, so thank you for pointing it out.

What makes this property unique
Unrivalled views of La Dordogne river. Numerous short, medium and long walks all way marked, right outside the property. The history of this regions which makes it world renowned. The Grande Maison and three cottages are located on the banks of the river. The architecture, character and history of the properties make it an absolutely joy to be in and look at. Being only 2kms from St. Cyprien, makes the location of our properties special. We have privacy, the beautiful river, nature and walking trails, yet are so close to all the amenities needed in what is a beautiful, medieval village. When you have been fortunate enough to have lived in an area such as this, you can understand why so many people, including us, decided to stay. You will love it.
