1. ARRIVAL. We will welcome you the day of your arrival in Grado, providing you with the keys - 2 copies - and any information you might need. Please let me know if you have any special requests or needs. We will do our best to be of assistance.
2. PARKING. Very close to the apartment, there is a free-of-charge public parking area (if you have a look at our page in the map published by Airbnb, you will find it in the area between Via Luigi Rizzo and Via Egidio Grego). The free-of-charge parking are indicated with White lines. The public parking areas indicated with Blue lines cost 6 Euros a day.
Do not park your car where the parking are indicated within Yellow lines (these parking areas are reserved only to the local residents).
3. AIRPORT PICK-UP. Please let me know if you will come by plane. I may organize a pick-up with a private van and an English-speaking driver, at the airport of Trieste (less than 30 minutes by car from Grado) or Venice / Treviso (approx. 90/100km). In this case, I will send you an invoice in advance, stating the overall cost: it will be up to you to decide whether the proposal is reasonable. If so, the payment will be done directly to the driver.

The view from the balcony of the flat and from the panoramic terrace, as you might notice in the photos of our Booking site, is at the “canale” (which leads to the historical harbor of Grado on one side and to the “laguna” on the other) and at the entire island (from the terrace). Everything is walking distance (Grado is a small island, as you probably know, and the flat is in the inner part of it). The position of the apartment is very much appreciated by our guests and the view from the balcony and the terrace is relaxing. You breath the marine air from the “laguna”!

5. INFORMATION ON GRADO AND FRIAUL. In the flat, you will find some books and leaflets concerning Grado, Aquileia, Triest, Gorz, Udine and other nice places of the Region Friuli/Friaul. Please have a look at the website of the local Office for tourism for further information.
Touristic and commercial activities in Grado are German-speaking.
Thanks to its geographical position, Grado is usually the base for further journeys of our guests (you may go up to the cities of Veneto – Venice, Verona, Padova, Vicenza) or eastwards (Slovenia and Croatia). Renting a car would be a good idea, should you have in mind a broader touristic tour in Northern Italy (Milan is approx. 4-hours distance by car).
6. BIKES. As guests of our flat, you can use two bikes (free-of-charge). My mother will show them the day of your arrival. They are “used”, but still work well. In Riva Scaramuzza, 350 metres from the flat, there are two “rent a bike” shops. The cost is reasonable: approx. 40€ a week.
