Edge of Old Village, close to shops, park and beach; ferry discounts

The Coach House is a traditional stone cottage, forming part of the original coach house and stable block to Upper Chine House, later converted as part of Upper Chine School, and for more than 25 years, available as a self catering unit.

The Coach House provides comfortable and spacious accommodation for up to 6 guests, comprising a King-bed Bedroom with ensuite shower, a further double Bedroom, and a Bunk room. The beds benefit from superior mattresses and feather duvets, mattress toppers and pillows to provide a luxurious night. A travel cot is also available.

On the ground floor is a Family Bathroom with bath & shower over, a delightful Sitting Room and a well equipped Kitchen. A high chair is available. There is also a Conservatory giving access to a patio garden overlooking Shanklin Chine. The whole cottage is warmed by gas fired central heating.

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
• If used, wipe down, fold up and put away the Travel Cot • If used, clean the High Chair and return it to the under stairs cupboard
Please close all the windows and set the heating thermostat to a maximum of 15 degrees.
We do not routinely undertake a face to face check-out, but if you would like to meet with us to discuss any issues, please advise us by text or phone the day before your departure.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

The cottage had everything we needed and more.

Perfect!!

The Coach House was perfect for our stay in Shanklin. The cottage was very clean, well equipped and in a great location within easy walking distance of the beach and the old village. Jill the owner greeted us when we arrived which was a lovely touch and she was happy to help with any questions we had during our stay. We will definitely stay at the Coach House again if we return to Shanklin.

Wonderful stay in beautiful property and great location

The Coach House was clean and tidy and tastefully furnished throughout. Every little thing you might need to feel at home is supplied. Peaceful location just outside the Shanklin old village (within 10 mins walk) with lovely park opposite. Jill is a marvelous host providing great communication and welcoming us personally. Thoroughly recommended for a stay in the Isle of Wight!

Stayed at this property for a week. It is just on the edge of shanklin old village. Plenty of pubs and restaurants in walking distance. Cottage is a good size. 3 good size bedrooms. The owner Jill greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. Would recommend to friends
