Less than a five minute walk into the centre of bustling, chic Burnham Market, the lovely Lavandula has a romance about it, with lashings of style too. With a modern contemporary feel and lots of London influences, this wonderful love nest would equally be a perfect holiday retreat for a family or two sets of friends wanting to holiday in a top-notch retreat close to the coast.

Located opposite the village car park, you are close to all the restaurants and amenities this fabulous village offers. What could be nicer than heading out before your other house guests wake to buy freshly baked croissants or stock up your picnic basket with wonderful produce bought at one of the delicious delis? The owners have really gone to town on making this modern cottage unique and different and with fabulous wallpapers, ceramics and art. The designer touches combine to make you feel like you are the only guests in a boutique hotel. Tom Raffield lighting, Heal's furnishings, Kartell lighting, Italian driftwood table, luxury linens, Dualit kitchen appliances make this a beautiful homestay and one you will want to return to again and again.

Head to Brancaster, Holkham or Wells-next-the-Sea if you want to feel the sand between your toes. If you're history buffs, then head to The Hoste in the village where you can enjoy the Admiral Lord Nelson exhibition, before visiting his birthplace in nearby Burnham Thorpe and short walk away. This luxury retreat is a perfect place to escape city life and enjoy some laid-back quality time together.

For larger families/groups, this property is available to book with use of a third, bunk bedroom, listed as Lavandula (6).

Good location, comfortable cottage

We have a few holidays each year in the UK and like cottages that have several facilities and Lavandula has these. Good to have SKY TV and a downstairs shower and toilet, as well as the usual dishwasher, washing machine etc. We love Burnham Market so the location is excellent.

The perfect bolt hole

Just home from a fabulous festive weekend in Burnham Market. Went to enjoy the Christmas lights switch on which was sadly cancelled due to weather, but it didn't dampen our spirits. And how could it in such a fabulous house. Beautifully presented with lots of attention to detail and everything we could possibly want. In a brilliant location in the heart of Burnham market and with 2 parking spaces too. The good thing about the switch on being cancelled is that we'll just have to go back next year!

Late Autumn getaway (but great weather)

Lovely property. Have stayed in Burnham Market several times in both hotels and cottages.... best so far (by far) we love the location and the high standard of decor. Would happily book again.

An enjoyable October break

We visit Norfolk regularly but this was our first visit since the original lockdown. Our usual apartment wasn’t available but we were delighted when we found Lavandula. We remember Foundry Place being developed so knew it’s exact location in Burnham Market. The house is beautifully furnished, equipped and maintained. Plenty of space for all even if there were 6 people staying. A most relaxing week and we looked forward to returning to such a comfortable house at the end of a days walking. Very easy to book through Norfolk Hideaways, good pre-visit instructions and excellent information in the house. The induction hob was a bit of a puzzle but the the instruction booklet soon resolved our confusion. Finally must say how much we appreciated the unexpected welcome pack. I am sure we will return to Lavandula in the future.

Great stay in an excellent location

This is a fantastic property to stay in if you are looking for the most convenient location from which to enjoy lovely Burnham Market. Lavandula is a very modern property on a new development, which is decorated to the highest standards and provides all that you need for an extremely comfortable stay. We will definitely return.

Excellent property and location.

The property was very comfortable, well equipped and very stylish However we expected White Company toiletries and 400 count bed linen as advertised. There were no toiletries and my friend said her bed linen was not 400 count. Other than that we were very pleased with the property and it’s location in Burnham Market. We were rather sorry that visitors, like us (!), and second home owners are causing amenities for local people to close down e.g. chemist, bakery.

Family holiday - return to North Norfolk Coast

Lavandula is an attractive house on a new estate built in vernacular style. It is well equipped, is very comfortable with pleasant modern furniture in excellent condition, (the mattresses are soft/medium), there is good parking at rear of house, it is very close to centre of village (shops, restaurants) and not far from the coast and the magnificent Holkham Sands/Beach. Sleeps 6 (or 4). Only criticism: view from living-room of dustbins and heating device immediately outside french windows. Very enjoyable fortnight spent at beginning of July in Burnham Market!

Lovely short break at Lavandula, Burnham Market.

Could not fault the property. The location was perfect, literally a 2 minute flat walk to Burnham Market. Would just add the satnav does not recognise the last letter of the postcode so frustrating to find property, however I would suggest it may help if exact directions were provided by Norfolk Hideaways. Apart from that it’s a super place and ideally situated for roaming around Norfolk.

Perfect week's stay in Burnham Market

This is a lovely house, well situated, comfortable and very stylishly decorated. We loved the wallpaper in the bedrooms and the large downstairs shower room. Also the beds were wonderful and so comfortable, we had the best sleep all week. A lot of care and attention has gone into the presentation of this holiday home which was greatly appreciated. We had everything we needed for the week. The only thing that could make it more perfect is if the washer was also a dryer as you are a little at the mercy of the English weather and can't always peg out washing or are in the mood for ironing on holiday.

Access to the garden shed with everything needed for the beach including picnic basket, windbreaks, buckets and spades, surfboard, picnic blanket and beach barbecue.
Two allocated parking spaces on the courtyard at the back.
Four EV Chargers are available to use in the car park to the front of the house (subject to availability).
