The cottage could certainly do with some loving care .. it could be amazing It needs someone to give it a good clean and a fresh lick of paint and clean the garden up Although the bathroom is nice and bedding clean… great Wi-Fi … lots of dvds games But the amount of flys in the living room every time I killed them they reappeared!!

The only problems we experienced was the front door key did not work we had to use the back door accessible by a gate. Also the shower was unusable for myself being elderly. The shower tray was very slippy with no grab rails and we could not adjust the water,it was mainly cold.

Holme Crest is a freshly redecorated terraced cottage with character and original features set in the heart of Staithes’ old town, very close to the harbour and the Cleveland Way coastal path. Staithes, with it’s steep, narrow, interconnected lanes, cobbled streets and rows of pretty cottages and rooftops has a distinctive, traditional fishing village atmosphere. For keen walkers, I recommend the coastal walk with magnificent views to nearby Runswick Bay and it’s sweeping beach. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A lovely traditional cottage in the heart of Staithes a mere stroll from the harbour where we could enjoy our morning coffee and evening G&T. Cottage was very comfortable with all the equipment needed for an enjoyable time. It had obviously been recently renovated and was lovely inside and spotlessly clean. However, updates are needed to the instructions for heating, internet and there is no DVD player that we could see. The main disappointment was the bags of rubbish in the outside which detracted a little from our first impressions of the cottage. But overall we had a lovely stay there. Lovely cottage in a great location

We had a lovely few days staying in the cottage. The double bed is possibly the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in though - definitely needs a new mattress. It did mean we were always up and out of the cottage before the builders started removing the render from the neighbouring property though!! Overall though Staithes is great and if the cottage owners invested in a new mattress I'd stay there again.

Holme Crest is a cosy, well-equipped cottage, a short walk from the sea and our venue of choice for the recent Staithes Arts and Heritage Festival weekend. With a little court-yard for the day time and a wood-burning stove for the night, it was all perfect. As in all these small cottages the stairs are steep but there is an amusing nautical rope to pull yourself up and down. Walk the cobble streets and winding paths and take in the beauty of the harbour. A unique place where the landscape still holds the upper hand.
