Both Cottages, The Farriers (ref 26967) and The Coach House (ref 26968) are set within the private, extensive and well cared for grounds of The Abbey Coach House. Restored to a very good standard, this ideal retreat combines a rich tradition with comfortable, modern living. Surrounded by the Lakeland Hills these unique, self-catering holiday properties are just a short stroll from the nearby villages where shops, restaurants and pubs serving local ales are in abundance. Whether its a romantic break or a relaxing family holiday, the properties are ideally situated as a base for exploring the Lake District. Take a 10 minute stroll to Bowness, cruise on one of England’s largest lakes. The craggy fells and peaceful lakes inspired William Wordsworth, whose home in Grasmere is open to visitors, and also Beatrix Potter, who lived at Hill Top at Sawrey, now preserved by the National Trust. Ambleside is only a short distance away. The bus route and train station are nearby. Shops, pubs and restaurants ¼ mile.
