Great location, great cottage with pretty much everything you could ask for.

Great location, great cottage with pretty much everything you could ask for. The only disappointment was the T.V’s could do with an upgrade, poor signal and not smart. We had a lovely time here.

We had a lovely time here. The cottage is very well presented and a lot of thought has gone into equipping it, there was everything we could have wanted. Parking was difficult at times as it's a small street, with few spaces; the parking permit is vital! The location is terrific - there's a Co-op around the corner for all food essentials and there are lots of lovely clothing and gift shops, restaurants and pubs all just a few steps away - we got lots of Christmas shopping done. We had the most lovely time staying in duckling cottage for my birthday week this October. The location of the cottage was fab as it was a short 2 minute walk to all the shops and pubs which Bowness had to offer! The amenities in the cottage were perfect for our stay. There was a welcome hamper on arrival which was a lovely touch and duck food which we were able to take down to the lake with us. We took our dog with us to stay and the courtyard out the back was perfect for letting her out and was extremely secure. Lovely place to stay.

Lovely place to stay. I found it easy to find and a good location for the area. Nice and clean with hard wood floors which I find good when you have a dog. I loved the ensuite showers that was part of the bed room for extra privacy. Great back yard that was sucure. With piece of mind my dog wont get out. The only down side was the step in to the boot room as my mam suffers from arthritis and found it hard to get down but apart from that I would definitely come again Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We had a lovely week over Xmas at Duckling Cottage. The cottage was very well equipped. Towels, tea towels, washing up liquid and hand wash were all provided. There were also some thoughtful touches such as food to feed the ducks and poo bags for the dog. The bedrooms are spacious with lovely comfortable beds and it was so convenient to have your own on-suite shower room. The cottage is in an excellent position, very close to all the amenities of Bowness and we would be very happy to stay there again.

My family and I stayed at Duckling Cottage for a week and found it very well equipped, clean and comfortable. The cottage is in a great location very close to shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs and a cinema. It's a easy walk to Lake Windermere. We found the location quiet even though it's in a busy area. The extras such as the duck food and dog treats were a nice touch. My daughter particularly enjoyed the duck search around the cottage. There were a large selection of books, games, DVDs in the cottage. Only real drawback is that the master bedroom bed was too soft for us. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend it.

Our second visit to Duckling Cottage. Great location. Comfy beds, lovely towels, everything you need apart from 1 toilet roll to share between both en-suites we felt was a little mean! The floors downstairs could have done with a good clean, within 10 minutes of my son running around the soles of his feet were black! Around the kitchen bin was quite grubby too! Apart from that everything else was perfect and wouldn’t stop us from booking again!

We had a great stay at Duckling Cottage.

We had a great stay at Duckling Cottage. The owners had thought of everything! We enjoyed the puzzles and games that were available, our son was thrilled to have duck food to take with us on our dog walks to the lake and the pup loved his complimentary dog treats too! All very thoughtful. The location is excellent and we enjoyed being able to walk out for a bit of lunch when we wanted, or to pick up supplies. We visited Brockhole just up the road and it was brilliant for children (and grown ups)! If you are visiting as a family definitely look it up! My only very minor issue was that we weren’t always able to park on the road where the cottage is located. The permit covers a couple of other roads too though so we always found a space and when it was (sadly) time to leave, we were able to pull up outside and pack up without any issue. The parking is a small price to pay for the great location though and it wouldn’t put us off a return visit! Thank you to the owners of Duckling Cottage for making it such an easy holiday for us! :-)
