Great little house in Keswick, appreciated the en-suite in addition to main bathroom.
Well kept and decently stocked kitchen.

Saddleback was very clean, had modern appliances, was in a great location, and had comfortable beds. Would recommend! Downsides: The bathroom situation is a little odd -- the only shower is in an ensuite room with twin beds, and the shower is so small one can barely turn around in it. A second bathroom off the upstairs hall has a nice big bathtub but no shower. It would be great for the latter to have a shower too. Also, the parking spot in back is *really* tight for anything but a subcompact car. I could just manage to squeeze our midsize car in, but it took some doing and a less confident driver might just give up. . . . Would recommend the cottage. Would definitely *not* recommend cottages.com, which screwed up the reservation dates (confirmation email dates did not match the website dates) and worst of all did not tell us where to pick up or drop off the keys! (The email just made a vague reference to "the office," sans address.) Try to call them and you get a useless bot who can't tell you anything you don't already know. Finally get on hold for a human, and after waiting half an hour the line goes dead. Call back and wait another hour. Finally get a human who doesn't know the answer. She goes off to check and then the line goes dead again. Fortunately she later called us back with the answer (get the keys in a lockbox outside 36 Station Street, Keswick). But it was a really unnecessarily stressful beginning to the trip -- and if you read other reviews you can see that this has been a problem for years. Won't be using cottages.com again, as they don't appear to correct longstanding problems and really don't want you to talk to a human.

A very comfortable and convenient cottage.
A very comfortable and convenient cottage. Bathroom and en-suite a little small but perfectly adequate. Plenty of kitchen ware, crockery and utensils. Parking most welcome plus a small outside seating area. Very close to all amenities and walks from the door. We had a great holiday here.

Nice and pleasant stay.
Nice and pleasant stay. Great to have 1 allocated parking but very tricky to get in and out due to size and other cars from neighbouring houses. Very good accommodation overall.

The cottage is in a very good location close to the centre of Keswick, yet reasonably quiet being away from the main roads. The kitchen living area is a good sociable space and very well equipped.
The three bedrooms are all a really good size, although lacking sufficient storage space in the attic room. Having two bathrooms was a nice luxury to have.
The parking space is great to have but a bit tricky to get in and out of when all the neighbours are also parked.
Although we generally like to try a different cottage each year, we would recommend this cottage to others.

Pleasant cottage and great location.
Pleasant cottage and great location. Our only complaint was the parking. It’s really tight in the allocated space when next door’s car is there to the point I’d say there is no space and you have to park on the street, which is really busy. But an otherwise lovely cottage.
