Windsor House lies just off the main street, seconds from George Fisher’s famous store and moments from the lively shops, restaurants, pubs and visitor attractions on offer in this vibrant town. A brief walk takes you through Hope Park and its scenic gardens, past the Theatre by the Lake to Derwentwater lakeside with its boating trips and magnificent views of the surrounding hills and mountains.

Our 6th visit to this property and have to say standards have slipped.

Our 6th visit to this property and have to say standards have slipped.On arrival we found no dish cloth,scourer and kitchen roll,so had to pop to local shop for them.The top of the DVD player had thick covering of dust on it,mugs in cupboard needed washed,one appeared to contain the remnants of a dunked biscuit,plates and bowls also needed a good wash,cafetiere contained about a half inch of coffee.We also found a used pantyliner in bathroom bin. The most worrying thing though was the dangerous state of the 3 table/bedside lights,none of the bulb holders were connected to the lamp itself,a quick call into the office soon got that fixed,electrician was there very quickly to repair them.The cottage cant be beaten for location,and the provision of parking is a boon.Plenty of fine places to eat and drink all on your doorstep.Love the new fridge freezer .Despite the aforementioned problems,no doubt we will be soon making it visit number 7. 2 Windsor House is a beautifully presented apartment.

2 Windsor House is a beautifully presented apartment. It is clear that much thought has gone into the decor and in equipping the place for a great holiday in the Lake District. If you have children the owners have thoughtfully provided a range of family DVDs and a selection of toys and jigsaws. We would really recommend this apartment for anyone wanting to enjoy all that Keswick has to offer. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely apartment, in fantastic location. We stayed during covid so cushions and throws had been removed so wasnt quite a luxurious as photos show on website and the bathroom could do with updating or the fan improving as it did smell a little foysty. The floor wasn't clean.

The floor wasn't clean. I found lots of hair on the carpet. Everything except kitchen worktops was very dusty. Other than that, it is a nice cottage. Good and quiet location.

A lovely place, good-quality linen, great location and loved the extra touches, like toys for children. We would definitely recommend (and may well be back!). Very small 'niggles'. A better ice cube tray would be really helpful. Also, the advert for the property stated that towels are included, but the pre-arrival details told you to bring them. In the end, plenty of towels were provided. A quick revision of the pre-arrival info would mean that guests don't bring unnecessary luggage.

Overall a nice apartment.

Overall a nice apartment. The oven wasn't clean and the double bed was uncomfortable but otherwise good. The location was excellent.
