We loved our weekend away and this is perfectly located to visit many Northumberland attractions such as Alnwick, Alnmouth, Seahouses and Bamburgh. It is well equipped but we found the bed a little hard for our tastes and the cottage so warm that we always had the windows open.

We were absolutely speechless when we arrived at this beautiful cosy retreat! We were greeted by a warm, spotlessly clean, welcoming interior with the added bonus of a lovely gift from the owner! The bathroom was squeaky clean and the bed was luxurious with high quality bedding.I'm a little reluctant to share this little gem with anyone else however 'praise where praise is due' and we would highly recommend to everyone!Thank you so much to Pam for your wonderful hospitality!! We'll definitely be back!

Comfortable and cosy cottage in a very attractive and peaceful location.
Comfortable and cosy cottage in a very attractive and peaceful location. There is ample parking space and an attractive and useful patio and separate garden area. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is well heated. There are walks nearby on the Rock Estate. Rock is a good location for visits to Alnwick and several nearby coastal towns.

Found the property easily and it was well equipped and clean. Thoughtful facilities and well laid out - perfect for 2 adults and maybe small infant if you brought your own travel cot.
Not much to do in Rock - you have to go to Alnwick, the Coast or Rennington for nightlife but we wanted a quiet holiday.
All in All very satisfactory

The cottages is very comfortable & in a lovely quiet village, it is a good location to be able to get anywhere being close to Alnwick & the lovely Northumberland beaches also easy to get to moors.
We found the cottage itself very good, one thing that we didn't appreciate was a 13.5 Duvet in the summer which was far too hot. The cottage must be good as it is the second time we have been to it

Extremely comfortable and well-equipped. Felt very safe staying there considering the circumstances. Only a short drive, or nice leisurely walk to a lot of different villages, towns, and lots of sandy beaches. Would recommend to anyone.

We had an enjoyable stay at The Old Workshop.
We had an enjoyable stay at The Old Workshop. It was clean and comfortable. Our only tiny issues were not enough coat hooks for a wet week in October and no outside dog washing facilities (we bought a bucket and cloth). Lovely quiet village close to the fantastic Northumbrian coast.
Perfect for weekend away. Relaxing and everything we expected it to be.

An absolute gem.
An absolute gem. A little off the tourist trail which suited us fine - we have fallen in love with Rock - and will definitely return. We had a magical, magical week. The cottage is perfect for two [and a whippet] - it was secluded and romantic - and only minutes away from the places you want to go to. Rock itself has wonderful walks and is perfect - the cottage is well equipped, easy to manage and beautifully appointed. It really was a home from home.
Thank you very much for facilitating us - we had the pleasure of meeting the owner on our departure - and a more charming man you could not wish to meet. Thank you everyone for making our week in Northumberland so memorable.

Well appointed kitchen, a modern large TV, a large very comfortable bed, plump towels and bedding and a great shower.
Beautiful gardens and ideal for a relaxing break.
We’re booking again for next year. We really didn’t want to leave.
