From its large lawned garden, complete with summer house, you can admire distant sea views whilst enjoying a delicious meal al fresco. This detached property offers private parking for two cars and the simply stunning traditional fishing village of Port Isaac is just a short stroll away.
The quaint harbour sitting above the sandy beach is a hive of activity with boats coming and going, and is lined with pubs and cafés. Why not enjoy a lazy lunch in the Michelin starred Nathan Outlaw’s harbour side Fish Kitchen, or simply enjoy a Cornish pasty on the beach? The pretty village is regularly used as a setting for fictional Port Wen in the Doc Martin TV series. There is golf at one of many excellent courses nearby from the Point at Polzeath, to Trevone or St Enodoc. Alternatively, why not take a fishing boat out and catch your supper for the barbecue?
The fishing town of Padstow is easily reached by ferry from nearby Rock. In Padstow you can hire bikes and cycle the Camel Trail, a flat, off road, multi use trail that hugs the shoreline of the Camel Estuary all the way up onto Bodmin Moor, passing through the towns of Wadebridge and Bodmin, both full of history and worth a stop for a coffee. The beaches of Polzeath, just minutes from Port Isaac, are great for surfing, and with many local schools and hire shops, this is the perfect opportunity to try this fast growing water sport.
The magical South West Coast Path has some of the most stunning walks and views you could imagine. The stretch from Polzeath to Padstow, which passes the Church of St Enodoc at Daymer Bay, the final resting place of Sir John Betjeman, is a favourite of locals and holidaymakers alike. Port Isaac is also a great base for touring, and Tintagel with its Arthurian legends, and Bodmin Moor with its literary connections, are easily reached, making Moonraker the perfect choice to not only enjoy Port Isaac but other wonderful parts of Cornwall too. Beach ½ mile. Shop 50 yards, pub 300 yards and restaurant 250 yards.

We loved our stay at Moonraker.
We loved our stay at Moonraker. The house is beautifully appointed, in a great location in the pretty village of Port Isaac, a short walk down to the harbour and village and a slightly longer, uphill walk back! It's decorated to a very high standards and all appliances are top of the range, in the kitchen we particularly loved the cold water and ice dispenser in the huge fridge/freezer and of course the hot tub was a real treat. Wonderful as the house was, with huge garden with wonderful hot tub, summer house and seating, we did think that the "finishing touches" were lacking, especially when you're paying over £1,500 for 7 nights. These aren't complaints, they are just suggestions which could turn a wonderful holiday home into a truly outstanding one. 1. The hot tub is fabulous. But, there were no towels provided for use with it. Usually I would expect there to be towels provided for all guests, plus bathrobes and slippers at least in the master bedroom. 2. The crockery provided was clunky and boring grey. Very uninspiring and not very pleasant to use, the mugs in particular were nasty to drink from, far too thick. I actually purchased a cup & saucer in the village to use. Not everybody likes drinking out of mugs! 3. No toiletries were provided. In this day and age when you are providing a premium service it is usual to provide miniature sizes of shower gel, shampoo and soap. 4. No toothbrush mugs in the bathrooms - do you really want us to use glasses from the kitchen for this? Can I just re-iterate that this is me being VERY picky, we loved your home, it was one of the best places we've stayed in and will definitely be back!

The property is well appointed with a good location although one has to be reasonable fit to walk do
The property is well appointed with a good location although one has to be reasonable fit to walk down to Port Isaac and then back up. There is no parking down in the port itself. The welcome pack (pack of biscuits & 1/2 pint of milk) was a bit Spartan but did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the property. The hot tub and summerhouse were useful additions which we used frequently. Cold water and ice dispenser on the fridge was not working. A radio in the kitchen dinner would have been a useful addition. We were there when Doc Martin was being filmed which added to our enjoyment. The downside is the local pubs & restaurants take advantage with higher prices and dodgy service. Food was generally good. I do not include either of Nathan Outlaw's restaurants as we did not eat there.

We had a fantastic week over Christmas at The Moonraker.
We had a fantastic week over Christmas at The Moonraker. The cottage was beautifully decorated, very clean and we had been left lots of things we may need such as dish washer tablets, tin foil, washing tablets, tea, coffee, butter. We had even been left fizz and chocolate as a welcome gift. The hot tub was great and the cottage was extremely comfortable. It was a short walk into Port Isaac and a local shop just across the street.

Amazing location and beautiful accommodation.
Amazing location and beautiful accommodation. The hot tub just made our stay perfect. Justin and Helen where very responsive to any questions and made us fell so welcome. Port Isaac is such a beautiful place and the local people are friendly and welcoming. The scenery in North Cornwall is stunning and the food is just amazing. We went for my wives 50th birthday and The Mote in Port Isaac made it so special for us. I would recommend a stay at Moon Raker and we would love to return when we can.

We went as a family...4 adults and 2 children. The bungalow was clean and tidy and a home from home! Just a stunning placr to stay and they seemed to have thought of everything!! The co-op is a stone's throw away and the main beaches are also in walking distance. Such a beautiful area. The Mote restaurant is a must.
