The Yorkshire Dales National Park is within easy reach and really must be explored by those guests who like to take in magnificent views across woodland and hills. The popular town of Staindrop is just 6 miles away, where hundreds of deer roam free in their natural habitat of Raby Castle and its grounds. The town is also popular for its tea shops, cafes and small shops selling local produce. The Georgian market town of Richmond, 10 miles away, offers many top-class restaurants, pubs and tea shops that are perfect for a spot of lunch, afternoon tea or a lazy supper. This beautiful and historic town is settled high above the River Swale and offers panoramic views of the surrounding area and the chance to browse the weekly market and monthly farmers market, which provide ample chances to enjoy some local produce and crafts.
