THE PROPERTY
The landscape surrounding the little hamlet of Gavignano is completely quiet and unspoiled, making a perfect setting for a country holiday, ideal for gentle walks and picnics. The towers of S. Gimignano are just visible across the valley. Podere OLiveta which translates as 'Olive grove Farm' consists of 5 different apartments which enjoy a pretty location up in the hills. Podere Oliveta is located in a certified carbon neutral area that means no air pollution . Each apartment has its own independent entrance and own garden area with barbecue. Much careful thought has gone into decoration, furnishing and ensuring the apartments are equipped down to the last detail. There is a swimming pool surrounded by a sun terrace which has stunning views overlooking the rolling olive clad hills, the sprinkling of cypresses trees and the majestic towers of S. Gimignano in the distance. Local wine and olive oil can be bought nearby.

Podere Oliveta is a good choice for exploring central Tuscany. The main attractions of the region can be reached very easily. The highway which connects Florence to Siena is only 3 km distant. And the villa's location only 3 km from the railway station of Poggibonsi is a good base to visit Florence and Siena even without a car: You can park your car in Poggibonsi (free parking behind the railway station) and take the train in both directions. During the week, trains to Florence/Siena and back go regularly (approx. every 1. hour). The train ride takes about 30 minutes to Siena and 1. hour to Florence. In Florence the train will take you to the main train station which is right in the centre of Florence - it is just a short walk from the station 'Santa Maria Novella' to the Cathedral or the Uffizi. In Siena the railway station is located approx. 1 km from centre, and you may have to take a bus to reach the old town on top of the hill or take the escalator.

THE APARTMENT
PASSERO ,on the ground floor of the farmhouse makes a pleasant apartment for a family or for two couples. A French doors open off a little terrace and at the front of the farmhouse with a spacious, bright living room looking out over the front garden and the valley below. It has a small and pretty fireplace, and a stenciled frieze around the walls. The purpose built kitchen corner, with marble countertops and solid wooden doors, is fully equipped. The main bedroom has wrought iron bedsteads with charming flowered bedspreads and curtains; the picturesque twin bedded room (which can be double), painted rose pink, has a brick vaulted ceiling, herringbone cotta tiles on the floor and an intriguingly shaped window. The well fitted shower room has fresh green tiles. The garden is shaded by trees, well furnished with its own barbecue.

Stayed in Passero, clean and lovely private garden

Fantastic accommodation the views were amazing from the pool. Peaceful, our two teenage children loved it so great for families. Fabio was extremely helpful in recommending local sites, restaurants and vineyards! Will defifinately go back.

Peaceful Tuscan retreat

We spent 3 lovely relaxing winter weeks in this very comfortable villa. It was a great base for exploring the Chianti region and has quick access to the highway for visits to Florence and Siena. Our villa was clean, spacious, private and located in a very peaceful setting. Fabio is an excellent host who is happy to provide local suggestions and very responsive to any questions before and during the stay. We would stay again if ever in the region again.

Schöne Wohnung mit allem was man braucht. Der Pool und die Tischtennisplatte waren die Highlights für die Kids. Die Lage ist super um tolle Orte der Toskana und des Chiantis anzufahren.

Wir waren mit unseren zwei Kindern in der Wohnung Passero. Die Größe war optimal, wir hatten alles, was wir brauchen und der dazugehörige Garten war super für die Kinder, um zu spielen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, die Eigentümer waren sehr nett und immer sofort zur Stelle, wenn wir sie mal brauchten. Der Pool ist auch toll und sehr groß mit einem tollen Blick bis nach San Gimignano. Insgesamt einfach eine tolle Unterkunft mit einem sehr angenehmen Ambiente. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden das Anwesen zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

fantastic family holiday

we have 3 children under 4 and travelled with both sets of grandparents too. each family stayed in a separate apartment which was great in allowing everyone their own space as everyine had a garden with sunloungers, bbq and facilities for washing (essential for us!) . you do need a car but the location is fantastic for sight seeing and the pool is great too. Fabio couldnt have been more helpful!

Beautiful Country Getaway

Great location in Tuscany with awesome scenery surrounding the apartment. Enjoyed the morning greeting by the rooster as he called out at 9:00 am. Convenient location to restaurants and wineries. Fabio was a wonderful host and explained the highlights of the area. In cooler weather, heat is only available for 2 hours each day without an extra charge.

Super Ausgangspunkt um die Toskana zu bereisen.

Wir hatten mit 4 Personen die Wohnung Passero. Alles in der Wohnung ist sauber und es fehlt eigentlich nichts. In der Wohnung gibt es keine Klimaanlage, die braucht man aber nicht. Wir hatte durchschnittlich Aussentemperaturen von 35 Grad und in der Wohnung war es immer sehr angenehm. In der Küche ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Der Pool ist ein Traum...... so eine tolle Aussicht....und angenehme Ruhe ;-) Im Ort gibt es genügend Supermärkte um einzukaufen.( PAM, Coop, Lidl) Wir haben traumhafte 2 Wochen verbracht und können es vollstens weiterempfehlen. Danke für die schöne Zeit. Grazie ;-)

vacances en famille en Toscane

Nous avons passé deux semaines magnifiques dans ce gîte idéalement situé en Toscane pour pouvoir visiter de nombreuses villes. Gimignano, village médiéval est à 30 minutes, Volterra à 40. Florence à 1 h 15. Je conseille de pousser un peu et de visiter Lucca ou Pise, un peu plus loin mais vraiment très bien. L'accueil est chaleureux, les propriétaires sont très sympathiques. La piscine est vraiment très agréable et très bien entretenue. Nous l'avons vraiment appréciée parce qu'il faisait entre 35 et 40 degrés !! Nos ados ont apprécié le WIFI gratuit. En bref, super vacances Je recommande ce gîte aux couples ou aux couples avec adolescents.

Ruhig, abseits und gut zum Entspannen

Die Ferienwohnung Passero ist für eine Familie gut geeignet. Alles war bestens. TV Empfang dürftig, aber das braucht man bei der Location auch nicht. Wunderbarer Pool. Alles sehr ruhig und etwas abgelegen. Da kann man gut entspannen. Küchenausrüstung war ok. Mobiliar sehr schön. Alles wie auf den Fotos. Positiv auch die Waschmaschine, gerade wenn man länger bleibt. Sehr netter Vermieter. Konversation auf Englisch möglich. Unsere vergessenen Sachen wurden prompt nach Hause geschickt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können die Anlage Oliveta sehr empfehlen

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche im liebevoll eingerichteten Haus Falco verbracht. Die schönsten Orte der Toskana sind gut erreichbar, so dass wir nach einem Stadtbesuch am Morgen, die heißen Nachmittage am idyllischen Pool verbrachten. Unser Vermieter war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und seine guten Insider-Tipps haben wir sehr dankbar umgesetzt. Traumurlaub in der Toskana in der Wohnung Passero

Lieber Fabio, vielen Dank für die tolle Wohnung Passero, die Sie uns vermietet haben. Es ist bereits unser 2. Urlaub in Ihrer wunderschönen Anlage. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt, Ihr umfangreiches Buch mit den Tipps für die Umgebung, Lokale, Ausflüge etc. war sehr hilfreich und liebevoll gemacht. Die Wohnung ist sehr hübsch und geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit schönen Möbeln, teilweise sind es Antiquitäten das haben wir sehr geschätzt. Der Garten bietet eine große Vielfalt von privaten Gartenräumen bis zu öffentlichen Liegewiesen und der wunderbare und geschmackvoll gestaltete und immer gepflegte Poll war die reine Erholung für uns.Es war alles vorhanden für einen gelungenen Urlaub. Wir haben es sehr genossen über das weite Tal zu schauen und die Ruhe genießen zu können. Das morgentliche Gackern der Nachbarhühner war wie ein Flashback in die Kindheit, es war einfach wunderbar. Scöner Urlaub in der Toskana

Lieber Fabio, herzlichen Dank für die Vermietung Ihrer Wohnung Passero, wir haben unseren Urlaub dort sehr genossen. Es waren 10 wunderbare Tage in Ihrer Anlage. Die Wohnung ist liebevoll mit schönen Möbeln ,teilweise mit Antiquitäten eingerichtet und bietet alles was das Urlauberherz begehrt. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Wir haben jeden Tag die schöne Anlage, die aus privaten Gärten sowie öffentlichen Liegewiesen und dem wunderbar gepflegten Pool besteht, genossen. Auch das von Ihnen mit viel Aufmerksamkeit erstellte Buch mit Empfehlungen von Lokalen, Ausflügen und anderen Tipps war sehr hilfreich. Wir haben jeden Tag den wunderbaren Blick über das Tal genossen und das morgendliche Gegacker der Nachbarhühner war wie ein Flashback in die Kindheit, einfach wundervoll. Wir waren nun schon zum 2. Nice location for touring Tuscany

The 1 bedroom apartment is small but cozy. The kitchen was well stocked, but we missed not having a coffee maker. There was an expresso maker, but nothing to make a pot of regular cofffee. We ended up buying some instant coffee. Our unit had a nice balcony with table & 2 chairs- nice for morning coffee or evening happy hour. It was clean and very quiet. We weren't sure the other apartments were occupied. The main criticism I have is the stairs leading to the pool. They were hazardous and need to be repaired. My husband has mobility issues and after climbing once, refused to go up to the pool again. Fabio and his wife were very hospitable. When we arrived Fabio's wife was standing at the end of the driveway waving us down. Since we arrived a little later than planned, I suspect she had been waiting for some time. The apartments are located in a small hamlet about 1 mile up a narrow country road, but easy to get to. Once leaving that road, it was only about 1 minute to reach the main 4 lane highway. We had planned to take the train into Florence to avoid the traffic in that city, but Fabio advised taking the bus instead. That was good advice, as the bus stop is near the supermarket with free parking and leaves every hour with direct journey to Florence. This apartment is not fancy, but if you're looking for "real Italy" and convenience I would recommend it.

location conforme à l'annonce (attention toutes les photos ne correspondent pas à l'appartement Passero). appartement propre, au calme avec jardin privatif et accès à une superbe piscine (très belle vue sur la campagne toscane). location non climatisée mais qui reste "fraiche" malgré tout. classeur à disposition avec des informations touristiques très intéressantes. bref à recommander.

Wonderful retreat

This apartment is in a perfect location to explore Tuscany and Chianti. It has easy access to the highway between Florence and Siena while feeling like you are miles away! Our apartment was clean, comfortable, private and well equipped. The owners are wonderful, helpful and they are only a phone call away. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
