About this property

Beautiful farmhouse from the late 1700s (already registered in the first land register of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany in 1812) consisting of two well separated apartments with independent entrances, "La Loggia" and "Il Forno".
'LA LOGGIA' is the largest apartment - about 80 square meters - for 5 people, owes its name to a delightful external porch where you can have lunch and consists of a large kitchen / living room with dining corner and working fireplace, a double bedroom with double bed, a twin bedroom with 3 single beds (or, optionally, 1 double and 1 single), bathroom with shower, all furnished with quality furniture and attention to detail. The outdoor space - really very large - in addition to the pine forest and a large garden, includes a beautiful swimming pool, fenced, with deck chairs and umbrella and allows tranquility and privacy for even the most demanding guests. Availability of garden furniture and barbecue.

Family country stay

We had a wonderful few days at this property. It felt like it was just us and the birds for three days and we were so relaxed that we cancelled some of our plans to stay there during the day. We had some complications checking in at the original time planned but the host was very understanding and helpful. We would happily stay here again!

Peaceful Tuscan converted barn close to Siena

Surrounded by woodland and at the end of a quiet lane, the place was a peaceful bolt hole around 15 minutes easy drive from Siena. We stayed in " La Loggia " which is half of a very nicely converted barn/farmhouse. All accommodation is on the first floor with a small terrace or loggia off the kitchen for dinners al fresco. Luckily for us we had the place to ourselves so complete peace, quiet and privacy. Nicely furnished and comfortable in a typical Italian fashion, although the kitchen was a bit small if you are planning on doing lots of cooking. Lots of places to sit outside in the sheltered courtyard, by the pool or under a tree in the garden even saw deer one morning. There are paths from the garden into the woods for walking enthusiasts. We would recommend this property to our friends and would book again when returning to Tuscany. The other half of the farmhouse lacked an outside terrace but had the advantage of a larger, lighter kitchen. This place would be perfect for two families or groups holidaying together.

Merveilleux séjour !

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour, David est un hôte attentionné et bienveillant qui partage son amour pour la Toscane. La Logia est très agréable à vivre, nous n’avons manqué de rien. Là terrasse couverte a été un beau refuge par temps pluvieux et nous a permis de prendre l’apéritivo à l’extérieur malgré tout. La région est magnifique, de belles randonnées à partir de La Loggia et centrale pour sillonner les points et villes d’intérêts. Nous n’avons pu profitez de la piscine car hors saison mais c’est une expérience à vivre pour la prochaine fois😎 Merci David et Vittoria. .

Fabulous!

We had the great pleasure of spending a week at Borgo dei Fondi in the middle of May. It was heaven! It is just outside of Siena's center, a short 15 minute drive from train station. Be prepared for lovely, peaceful location to melt away stress of day-to-day life. Gorgeous grounds, gardens, and pool. David and Simona were THE MOST GRACIOUS hosts-accommodating every need, yet respecting guests' privacy. They provided us with the local activities, historical info, and all kinds of practical info. For example, certain private castles were open to the public for only 2 days, and we would have missed seeing them if not for David's recommendation. The road to the villa is a wee bit bumpy, but we loved being off the beaten path. I especially enjoyed hiking around with only the sounds of nature. It was deeeeeeelightful! Great place, especially if a larger group. You can rent multiple units for family reunion. Highly recommend!!
