About the host
Hosted by Ben and Kate

We bought Turley Farm twelve years ago. It was a wreck, in much need of alot of TLC, with the potential to turn it into somewhere truly special. Ben is a builder and artist; he recognised what Turley Farm could become and set to work, knocking down quite a bit of it, restoring the barns with traditional lime plaster and bringing the place back to life, giving it charm and elegance which it so richly deserved.
Our three children have grown up here and are an integral part of farm life; they have been instrumental to the gardening, building construction, natural pool creation, as well as looking after the animals. Peggy - our breeding sow - was an important part of their upbringing, as were all her Tamworth babies.
Ben continues to build and create; garden and farm. Kate works in the African Development sector and is training to become a psychotherapist. Part of her vision for Turley Farm is to develop it as a wellbeing retreat venue.
We love having people to stay. Our Small Barn holiday let has been a great success and much enjoyed by our many guests who have stayed with us. A highlight has been the natural swimming pond which Ben built two years ago. A smash hit for all ages.

Why they chose this property
It's beautiful! The vibe is peaceful, but it's also a wonderful party space - it's whatever you want it to be. People who visit say it has a French feeling to it; this must be something to do with the soft Cotwold limestone which is so attractive, but also its elegance and stylishness.
It's also very accessible; 60 miles west of London, close to the Midlands, en route to the West of England, 90 minutes drive from Heathrow. It's easy to find. It has the glorious Cotswolds on the doorstep in one direction, Oxford and Blenheim Palace in the other. Countryside and culture - all on the doorstep.
The Bothy is a delightful, quirky space which is ideal for a romantic getaway. It can also provide an extra double for those staying in the Small Barn (also on HomeAway) which accommodates six. Perfect for a couple in the party who would like a bit of privacy and space of their own.

What makes this property unique
This is a totally unique studio appartment. Set up in the sky, in the rafters of one of our barns, there is nowhere like it. It is East facing, gets the wonderful rising sun first thing in the morning and overlooks fields and the natural swimming pond just below. Wake up and take a plunge before the day begins! The views across the fields are a picture.
