Peaceful, beautiful, loved it.
We had such a wonderful time in Springs at this lovely, spacious home. Open and modern, it had everything we needed to relax and unwind. All of the instructions left for us by the hosts were clear and easy to follow (the bottle of rose was also much appreciated), and their suggestions for places to eat and things to do in the area were a big plus. And of course, there are the ocean beaches nearby, which are gorgeous, clean and not crowded. The Springs area, which is a short distance from downtown East Hampton (shops, Citarella, etc.) is so tranquil and quiet, and the house sits far back off of the street, nestled in the woods. The yard is huge and enclosed, so the dog had a blast running around, and we all sunbathed on the raised desk in the morning while reading with breakfast and coffee. The kitchen is spacious and well appointed, and adjoined the comfy living and dining area, so we were all together in the evening no matter where we were occupied. There was a Smart TV so we had access to everything available for viewing, which was especially great on lazier, cloudy afternoons (only the first 2 days, then beautiful weather). Beds were comfortable, there's a great indoor rainfall shower and a lovely outdoor shower as well. But THE highlight was the huge hot tub on the deck. We used it almost every night, and sitting under the stars in the warm, clean water was just amazing. Everyone loved it. I highly recommend this lovely retreat. Lots of activities for all ages, or lots of relaxing with nothing to do but watch bunnies run across the lush lawn, if that is what you're hoping for.

Life in The Springs
Just came back from a relaxing and refreshing week there. I'd best describe the house as 'casual elegance'' - earthy, not fussy, but lovely cathedral ceilings with skylights in the living room. Irene and Julie left us all the supplies we needed and we were able to settle in quickly and enjoy the beach and surrounding area. The house is set back from the road in it's own very private, fenced in yard. There is a hot tub on the deck which feels great after a busy (or not busy) day. As city dwellers we appreciated the privacy and serenity. We sat on the deck and listened to the many different bird calls... also enjoyed the clucking of the neighbors chickens and spotting the deer who live in the space between properties. Our dog enjoyed roaming the yard and swimming in the nearby bay. We also fell in love with the Springs General Store, a nearby deli/coffee place (yay for gluten free choices!) where people hang out and chat on the front porch. We also rented kayaks there, with a launch right behind the store. Never met Julie or Irene in person but communicated via text and call as needed. We love VRBO and try to be good guests so I was eager to make sure we managed things as they wanted as it is a priveledge for someone to open their home in this way.

Fantastic Getaway Stay
We had an incredible stay at Irene and Julie's. The house is in a perfect setting, with a jacuzzi and an incredible back deck where we spent a lot of time. The amenities were fantastic with a coffee maker, smart tv, beach chairs, beach umbrella, bikes, outdoor grill and more. The home is spacious with three beautiful bedrooms. (However, one bedroom is a small futon so only best for a child to stay in). A great size for 4 adults max. Both Irene and Julie were very accommodating and quick to answer any questions we had leading up to our stay. I would 100% recommend staying here!

Our family has owned this home since 2016. However, we have been connected to the area since the 1970s when Julie's mother, Phyllis, bought a house in East Hampton and later on built her own home in Amagansett. The family would come out every summer and we continue that amazing tradition! Our family loves spending summers and holidays here! For more about us you can find me Irene Glezos on social media . Feel free to reach out with any questions!
