Notes
- The original Tuross homestead is located in Coral Crescent. Mountain View is on the corner of Hector McWilliam Drive and Glen St. Glen St becomes Coral Crescent when you turn the corner to go up the hill. Tuross House was built in the 1870s. The original Norfolk pine tree is located next to the homestead to the left. Hector McWilliam used seeds from that tree to grow all the other trees in Tuross. There is a cairn to commemorate him half way down Allenby Road under some Norfolk pines in a circle on the right.

Ask a questionAbout Miriam Jerrems
My family and I have enjoyed this house for many years and we enjoyed school holidays here for many years. As the children are now adults, we spend less time and decided to share it with others so that they too can enjoy the delights of Tuross Head. Tuross Head is a special place for us and I feel a sense of relaxation on arrival here. The house is a beach house and does not have all the latest and greatest amenities but we like it that way. It is a summer fun house.
Miriam Jerrems purchased this House in 1982
Why Miriam Jerrems chose Tuross Head
It is affordable, spacious and not far from the beach. My mother purchased this house because it was solid with timber floors, had beautiful views and was on the high side of the street. She bought it so family members could come together and have holidays at the beach. The closeness of the golf course was also an appealing factor.
What makes this House unique
The main thing that have made us fall in love with this place are the lovely views, (now partly obscured by trees) and the proximity to the beach. (a five minute drive or 15 minute walk). As I am a walker, I enjoy the morning walk circumnavigating Tuross, taking in the views and getting good exercise climbing back up the hill. It take an hour walking briskly.
