GREAT cabin for wife and eye. Beautiful spot ...remote but in a gated community. Cabin was very nice. We had a great stay and trip. Belles Vacation advertise "self catering" stay. Only one towel and hand towel provided...no soap or shampoo etc so be prepared. Small maid quality issues like last guest's shampoo and cond left in shower...dirty pan left in broiler etc. Regardless a very nice and quiet place!
Sweet little cabin just the right size for our family and short stay. The area was beautiful at this extremely high elevation. Would love to return again.
Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Long drive to the cabin. Follow the instructions. It snowed but they cleaned the road swiftly. Comfortable cabin. Close to ski areas. Would suggest maybe some information about restaurants and shopping.
We had an excellent time. Very hard to find and GPS does not work well. Instructions are confusing and there is no signage. We drove around for a long time. Don’t try to find it in the dark. Other instructions are poorly written like where you have to bring out your trash. New restaurant in Eagle’s Nest is fantastic. Poor cellular service and we lost internet for a day.
Wow! This little apartment was fantastic! Everything is just as the listing said. It's perfect for a couple or small family. Driving up to the house, I just couldn't get over the views. Stunning! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend over and over.
Property was very clean and well kept. 30 min drive to most attractions and skiing. Drive up mountain to get to cabin was a little treacherous during the snow but doable in a 4wd. Washer and dryer would have been nice.
We appreciate your feedback. And sorry about the winter weather during your stay. We understand that heavy snow can be challenging. As mentioned in our listing, mountain roads are cleared regularly, but 4x4 vehicles are required during winter for safety. We hope you were able to enjoy the beauty of the snowy landscape despite the weather conditions. Thank you for choosing our property.
Beautiful place enjoyed the cabin, would love to come back when there is no snow and ice,the road in eagle nest is treatorus even with 4x4 I have been on a lot of ice and snow but the grade of the road is way to steep I'm in the asphalt business and I can tell you ever who cut these roads out did not know what they were doing.it is dangerous know before you go .

Cleanliness, internet effectiveness, lights in the bedroom, etc., remained an issue. Overall, not bad for the money.

The location was perfect but it left a lot lacking. The directions were horrible for getting to the cabin once in Eagle Lake and to the trash compactor. It should just say turn were the large multiple signs and the trash is in the Epic Steakhouse parking lot. The microwave sensor was broken and it didn’t work. The dining chairs were sadly worn and I’d be embarrassed if I rented them out. The shower curtain had mold. The TV remote batteries were dead and we had to replace them ourselves. The gate code was incorrect because they gave us the previous month. We couldn’t eat at the steakhouse because it’s invite only. They could have provided a map of things we could do on site, including the music pavilion with fire pits and sunset terrace. All that being said, the location itself was well worth the trip and cost. The overall rental was clean enough. Their directions and expectations were just extremely one sided for us to be expected to empty trash or get charged when we had to accept all the short comings. I’d stay in the development again but look for another rental. We felt like unwelcomed visitors based on their communication.

Thank you so much for your honest feedback—and for highlighting what you loved about the location. We’re truly sorry that parts of your stay fell short of expectations. That’s not the experience we aim to provide, and we appreciate you taking the time to share these details.
We’ve already flagged all the items you mentioned with our maintenance team, and updates are in progress. From the microwave sensor to the shower curtain and dining chairs—we’re on it.
We’re also updating our guest instructions to reflect the new layouts and upgrades happening at Eagles Nest. As the development grows and improves, so will our communication. Clearer directions, better local insights, and more accurate codes are already in the works to make future stays smoother and more welcoming.
Your voice matters, and it helps us get better. We’d love the chance to host you again in one of our upgraded spaces and show you the stay you deserve.
Our host was fabulous with directions and answering any and all concerns. The Cabin was clean, roomy, and views were great. Bed very comfortable. Great fire pit and lounging area outside. While the description is accurate on VRBO.
Just FYI-
The 5.6 mile trekking up the mountain is exactly that, trekking. The Road while paved is steep with several hairpin turns and at times limited visibility. I would suggest at check-in to arrive while still daylight and get a feel for the drive.
if you are afraid of heights(as my husband is)
It proves to be quite the story after the fact. 🤣
After a couple days the trek up and down got better or shall I say we got better. 😆
Eagles Nest Resort amenities offered a wide range of activities from playgrounds to a Winery and everything in between making it a great place to stay for everyone.
I will be back!

Congratulations on pushing through! So glad you made the trip- Eagles nest is indeed worth the trek!
WOW... what a gem!!! Impressive gated community for those who love the outdoors! Upon arrival the grounds were well groomed and clean. A cute little fire pit/ring awaits for many conversations to be had. The Belle chalet is petite in size but makes up for with its cuteness. Perfect size for 2 adults and 2 Golden Retrievers! There is a pull out couch if you have 2 small kids and an air up mattress. We used the small wood burning Air Tight to heat the house as it got down into the 30’s. The house is electric air/heat. We bought cut wood at Publix’s in Boone. Banner Elk is an adorable little town with several restaurants. The Lodges at Eagles Nest has live music every weekend from Memorial Day to Labor Day and on occasion thru Halloween. We drive a Nissan Murano and had no issues even though some switchbacks were a bit steep. The chalet sits on a very level/flat lot and hiking everywhere! You can even rent a ATV to off road on the trails. The chalet was extremely clean and had a few necessities like dish soap, coffee filters & body wash/shampoo. All utensils, stocked kitchen and a shuffleboard for entertainment. No big view of the mountains but a few hundred feet from amazing views. Construction going on in the neighborhood but not an issue. Internet worked GREAT! Cell service with Verizon on the mountain was obsolete/ sporadic. We will definitely return and return to this same home... if we don’t buy one before. CHEERS to Fall!
