This house is in the most amazing location for a stay in Port Douglas. You can be on the beach in minutes, which made it so easy with our three kids, and also walk to all the shops in 15mins at a child's pace.
The house itself is spacious and well appointed, particularly the kitchen which has everything you could possibly need for your stay. The free toiletries are a high standard and the bed linen and towels were all excellent.
The letting agents were really great, excellent communication and ease of entry to the property. We used their welcome book for local knowledge on coffee shops and restaurants and were never disappointed at the recommendations it contained. We really enjoyed the Sunday market near the Marina, something for everyone, we picked up some beautiful locally made ceramics and the kids enjoyed some donuts.
We had a great week here exploring Port Douglas in a really relaxing house and location.
The only disappointment was the swimming pool, which doesn't reflect the standard of the rest of the property. It's a heated pool which is great, but the kids refused to go in as they said it looked dirty, but I think it's just discolouration and holes in the liner. We had amazing weather for our stay so were on the beach or on reef trips so didn't need the pool anyway.
We would definitely stay here again.
