The house exceeded our expectations. It was very comfortable and a great size, the living areas on both floors were a bonus. The kitchen is well stocked. The pool was lovely and the outdoor area with the hammock under the trees was a good place to relax. Good communication from the host. We had a great stay and would recommend.

Wonderful property, well situated

Great property that can accommodate a few families. Quirky with the artwork, well equipped, good pool. Only a short walk into Port Douglas and the marina which made going out at night easy.

Beautifully decorated artists home ideal for beach holiday.

Very happy with this accommodation for a weeks winter break in sunny Port Douglas. Gorgeous home chock full of interesting art and furniture. Everything is just as described and pictured.

Beautiful house in quiet location

The house was really well suited for our group ( 2 couples and 2 teenagers) with different spaces to spread out or gather together. The house was comfortable and beautifully styled in a tranquil setting. The hosts were easy to contact, and worked very hard to ensure our stay went well, despite some issues that were beyond their control. Port Douglas is an outstanding destination, can't wait to return!

A big thank you to Tina and Matthew for having us in your beautiful home. The 4 of us had ample room to relax in the many cosy nooks the house had to offer. Visually the home is a treasure trove of quirky artwork with surprises every where you look. We made good use of the collection of board games and the well equipped kitchen came in handy after a successful day out fishing.We hope to make the trip up again soon.

A+++ - incredible accommodation!!

Tina and Matt have created such a unique and comfortable accommodation that is in such a great location in Port Douglas. We walked everywhere, less than 10 mins to town and beach. Tina’s artwork around the house is the hero, we discovered new things every day. The house is opposite a green area which really adds to the ambience and we loved listening to the sounds of nature. Communication before and during the trip was brilliant. Highly recommend.

Beautiful property about 10 minutes walk from beach and main shops/restaurants. A beautiful property which we felt honoured to use. Good shared pool. BBQ was a plus as well. Would recommend

Just beautiful!

Such an amazing beach house! We loved the space and was a real feast for the eyes. Tina was wonderful and we can not wait to return for another visit at this property or another of the artist properties!

What a fantastic house

We loved every minute and thank you for making everything so welcoming. Your house was the perfect launch pad to everything that the area had to offer and and even more wonderful place to come back to after trips out yonder. A glass of something cooling and white on the balcony after a shower looking at life on the street below was another highlight!

Great artistic retreat

We loved spending time in this house which is full of great art. It is extremely comfortable with air con and ceiling fans. It is close to the wonderful beach and convenient for town yet in a quiet street.. Tina is a very good host sending lots of information about the house and surrounding areas . We would highly recommend staying in The Artists Treehouse.

Wish it was mine !

On arriving at the spacious and comfortable Treehouse, we feel instantly at home, having stayed there on many occasions. It has such a relaxing feel but at the same time there is so much to look at .... the walls are covered in artworks and thought provoking messages . The open windows and doors let in the breezes and the sounds of the tropical birds while giving us a lush green outlook to the garden, palm trees and the magnificent paperbark . Absolutely perfect location with an easy walk to the either the beach, shops or marina . The kitchen is well equipped for preparing your own meals as it’s a pleasant option to just stay in ! Looking forward to our next holiday here !

You'll never want to leave!

This property is just so unique and quirky and beautifully presented. Tina goes above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay. Everything you need is provided for a comfortable stay in this home away from home. Our family of 5 spent 2 amazing weeks here and never wanted to leave. The open plan and tropical breeze meant we never used the air conditioner once and slept comfortably. Great location. You'll love the day bed on the balcony and breakfast at the huge mermaid table listening to the birds. Faultless!

excellent home , with lots of room to spread out; ideal for families, or 3 couples. Ideal quiet location with lovely balcony; interesting artwork and lots of picturebooks to browse.

We had an absolutely brilliant time. The treehouse was just amazing - I just loved it in everyway. T

We had an absolutely brilliant time. The treehouse was just amazing - I just loved it in everyway. The second day at the Treehouse we went down to the little wharf at the end of the street and happened upon a fishing boat just back from sea after 2 weeks fishing - we brought a red emperor and some cod fresh off the boat!! Delicious:) We swam in the sea every day after a big walk along the beach up the hill and down into town for our morning coffee. Loved the book lounge in town. Read our books lying on the comfy couches upstairs in the treehouse - a small little yellow bird flew in a couple of times and hung from the light fitting in the lounge. The decor was so charming -and I loved the windows and sliding doors. The mermaid table was very cool. So many lovely touches I can't list them all!! My husband was on a bit of quest to find the best lamingtons - so we sampled quite a few on our explorations into the areas around Port Douglas.. The whole time we were on holiday I just thought we were staying in the best place in Port Douglas - it was lovely coming back to "our place" to cook up our meals and try out the new and exotic fruits we couldn't resist buying.

This unique artistic home, offered us a great experience which was beyond hosting us in Port Douglas. The house has everything one needs for a great vacation (baskets for the beach, big towels and beach toys and a cute pool), has all needed to have a comfy homy experience (nice soaps, soft towels, clean everything) and fun options to have the meals - bar sitting, big table, chairs on the balcony with BBQ and more... Above all it has a great creative artistic style with a humorist touch that adds a special edge to the whole experience. So glad we found this location it is the icing on the cake of any stay at Port Douglas:).

We had a terrific week at the treehouse. The house is both stunning/ecletic and also very comfortable - with plenty of different spaces to chill out. And very kid friendly with a huge toy box & a bookcase full of kids books & Dvds - our 2 toddlers loved it. A few blocks walk from the beach in one direction & the main cafe strip in the other. Loved it & we would very happily visit again.

The first time I saw this accommodation online I was hooked and it more than met my hopes for the perfect holiday. The house is amazing, creative, great facilities and all the comforts required. We stayed for 2 weeks and I could have moved in permanently. Tina and Matt have created a holiday home for the traveller who wants something unique. I will and have highly recommended it already and will be back.
