The property had everything we needed Location was near IGA and supermarket Walking distance to local bars and restaurants Would definitely recommend Will come here again
The property feels more like a cash cow than a welcoming place to stay. It’s dark, musty, and notably lacks air conditioning, which made the experience quite uncomfortable. The host, Alison, showed little sense of service; when we asked about a short late checkout, the suggestion was to book an entire extra night for 300 AUD. That pretty much says it all.I understand running a tight operation and having a strong business mindset, but that doesn’t make the experience any more pleasant. In the end, we chose to spend those two hours at the airport lounge instead — better atmosphere, and overall a much more comfortable option.
Absolutely LOVED our stay in South Freo. Brilliant location within east walk to the South Fremantle village and to Fremantle itself. So much to see and do. So many great places to eat and drink.
The cottage was lovely & the extra toilet out the back was a bonus with 4 adults sharing 😁
My Mate and I stayed in this cottage for two weeks while competing out of Fremantle in a regatta.
The cottage was perfect for two. It had everything we needed, plenty of charm and great location. The Wray hotel nearby had some great steak deals and the local cafes on South Terrace were awesome for Breakfast.
Middle terrace of 3 in a great location. Public transport almost on doorstep but quiet spot. Cafes galore if you want them. Unit is clean and comfy. Sunny small courtyard which may be impacted by extension in next terrace.
This divine cottage in South Freo did not disappoint. It was exactly as shown in the promotion pictures. The cottage is perfectly located to manage without a car. Walking distance to everything really. So close to South Terrace and a divine selection of coffee shops, boutique hotel, brewery and bakeries. Such quaint, historical housing. Weather was very poor but this didn't affect our time in South Fremantle.

Comfortable cottage in a convenient, quiet location
The property is nicely furnished, has good beds and a decent shower. It has the basic kitchen equipment but if you are not planning to eat out all the time, you might find it missing some things. I stayed for two weeks so had to go out and buy some plastic containers because all I could find was lids without boxes and boxes without lids. In general though, it is pretty good and has all you need. I would have rated it higher had it not been for the a strong smell of gas in the kitchen, tea towels that looked like rags with holes in them, things left under the bed from the previous guest and the TV remote not working. This might be petty, but to me the small details and maintenance matter as much as a nice painting on the wall.

Unfortunately Carmel did not reach out to me during her 2 week stay, only leaving a note when she left. We immediately sent in our gas plumber who found no leak and the tv remote works perfectly. New tea towels and containers organised. We are thrilled Carmel had a comfortable stay in our heritage cottage and we take on board the points she has raised.
Sehr individuelle Unterkunft: historisches Reihenhäuschen in angenehmem Wohnviertel, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Patio, extra Werkstatt/Wäscheraum, Küche bestens ausgestattet, sehr gute Betten. Strand, Hafen und Zentrum gut zu Fuß erreichbar, außerdem sehr gute Busverbindungen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in der Nähe. Wir haben uns zehn Tage lang rundum wohlgefühlt.
All in all a nice enjoyable stay at the house
It would be good to change the days of cancellation from 30 to 14 days . As some circumstances after booking can change .
Lovely cottage home away from home in a great location highly recommended

Perfect Location and ideal for two couples
Charming cottage, clean and well laid out, ideal for two couples travelling together or anyone looking to explore Fremantle. The property is within easy walking distance to everything, with some fantastic foodie places very close by. We were also blessed with beautiful parrots feeding off the mulberries growing in the courtyard. The only minus is the street parking very tight and if you have a large hire car your parking skills will be tested! Constructive feedback for property owner; it would be great to have a small BBQ in the courtyard and better stocking of the kitchen utilises.

Home away from home
We stayed here for a work trip for 10 days and loved it. It's a great spot just a little bit out of the main shops and restaurants of Fremantle. 10 min walk to town, easy parking at the front door, clean and tidy place to stay. Visited Rottnest Island on our day off, and the ferry leaves right from Fremantle. We loved it, thank you!

Lovely place, great location, needs a better clean
Lovely compact terrace, very comfortable with everything you could need. Great central location with an easy walk to cafes and gift stores. Easy to book and we were grateful for an early check in. Unfortunately we had to scrub the shower before use as it was dirty and mouldy. Whole bathroom needs a good clean. I have photos if interested.
Thank you

Why they chose this property
If you fancy staying in a home that’s steeped in history but with all the convenience of a modern home, you’ve come to the right place.
Our limestone cottage was built in 1903 for the stablehands who worked in the area, and has been refurbished to contain a modern kitchen and bathroom.
What makes this property unique
The gastronomic delights of South Fremantle are just around the corner.
A few things to see and do in Fremantle: The Roundhouse The oldest building still standing in Western Australia today is the twelve-sided Roundhouse. The first permanent building to have been built in the Swan River Colony in the late 1830s, this building offers stunning views over Bathers Beach and the Indian Ocean. Fremantle Prison Holding a fascinating history built as a high-security prison by convicts, the Fremantle Prison is one of Western Australia’s most significant cultural attractions. Opened to the public in 1992, this building has since offered tours that will take you through the chambers and the history of this icon. Fremantle Arts Centre Originally built as a ‘lunatic’ asylum in Western Australia, the Fremantle Arts Centre offers residencies, exhibitions, live music and art courses for locals and tourists. Cappuccino Strip Fremantle’s legendary ‘Cappuccino Strip’ offers many outdoor cafes and restaurants for you to enjoy a locally brewed beer or Western Australian wine whilst people-watching. Fremantle Markets Dating back to 1897, the Fremantle Markets have always served as a market, originating as a wholesale and produce market until the 1950s.
