Limeburners Family Retreat - gas heated pool, basketball court & in-ground tramp

Gas heated pool to 34c in winter, so you can enjoy the pool anytime during your stay. Enjoy sensational bay views and watch the ships from the living room window whilst the kids play on the in-ground trampoline, play basketball on the mini basketball court or swim in the gas heated pool. This gorgeous limestone home ideally located less than 10 minutes walk from Shelley Beach right in the heart of Portsea.

This comfortable family home has four spacious bedrooms (3 with built-in wardrobes). The bed configuration is one king bed, two queen beds and two single beds. The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and a second separate bathroom, laundry, fully equipped kitchen, dining & lounge with stunning views over Port Phillip Bay.

For the cooler days, enjoy the open fire place and ducted heating system. Other features include heated swimming pool, in-ground trampoline, BBQ & outdoor entertaining, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, Wi-Fi, 2 smart TVs, Wii console, games and toys for the younger guests.

The property includes clean linen including all bed linen, bath towels and pool and beach towels. There is no cleaning fee as this is costed into the rental price. For the little ones we can setup a portacot and we also have high chairs available. Please request upon booking for setup.

For food lovers, the town of Sorrento has a vast array of casual and formal waterfront dining or even scrumptious fish and chips to take away and eat on the beach. Ritchie's IGA Supermarket is available in Sorrento for those who would prefer to spend a quiet night in.

For sports lovers, the Portsea Polo, Iron Man Competition, Twilight Run and Swimming Classic are only a few events named, all easily accessible from this Portsea home.

As for shopping enthusiasts, Sorrento has an impressive selection of unique boutique and specialty shops as well as modern hair and beauty retreats.

Limeburners Family Retreat is suitable for families and mature groups in search of a relaxing getaway. The house is pet friendly so you can travel with your fur babies. We also have a bunny hutch.

Strictly no schoolies, student groups and parties.

Please note: Mornington Peninsula Shire, under the Short Stay Rental Accommodation Local Law, has a code of conduct for short-term rental accommodation properties in the Shire. Registration No: STRA1438/18. Requirements from the Shire stipulate that outdoor areas including the swimming pool, outdoor decking and balconies are not to be used ‪between 11pm and 7:00am‬. Limeburners Family Retreat is a family house and not a party house. We won’t accept group bookings and no more than 8 guests, which the house comfortably sleeps. We like our neighbours and we have many neighbours that live in the area permanently for a quiet relaxing retirement. So we request this to be considered before booking.

Family escape

Our family, 9 of us aged from 68 to 3 months, had a great stay at this property. The house was perfectly adequate for the needs of our family, having a 12 and 14 year old needing to be entertained. Without doubt the outside area is the hilight of this property, featuring a heated pool, 1/2 basketball court and in ground trampoline, with a huge deck overlooking the grounds. Very easy to watch the children and to share time together. The yard also accommodated our dogs nicely, with plenty of space to run around and have a good sniff!! The inside of the house felt very homely on entering and offered 2 separate living areas where 2 large TV’s kept both the children and adults happy. The bathrooms and laundry were newly renovated, with the kitchen a little tired, but more than adequate for our daily needs. The house is situated in a very leafy, quiet area and is in walking distance to Shelley Beach, Portsea Hotel and a lovely bakery. Our family would highly recommend this property for a relaxing break.

Beware ! What you See is Not What you Get

The reviews and description sound wonderful. It’s not how it appears. The carpet in the living room was filthy as were the kitchen cupboard doors and kick boards on the bench area. The front door is filthy. And cabinetry in the front living room filthy too. There were no instructions to any of the appliances and no keys to any of the locked windows. There is no shade on a hot day whatsoever on the back deck. However there were toys for the children. Overall the house is far from well presented.

Beautiful quiet place

We stayed here for 3 nights with our kids. The house is specious, huge deck with outdoor setting and lounges. The pool was great and the trampoline was a hit with our kids. However, it was raining most of our stay and given it’s such a huge deck it would have been nice if it had some sort of cover. The bathrooms and laundry were renovated and very clean. The rest of the house such as kitchen, carpets and curtains were old, dusty and needed a proper clean. The kitchen needs a proper scrub down and abit of upgrade too. There were a lot of spider webs in the house and the couches and chairs weren’t the most comfortable either. The fire place was awesome on one of the nights that temperature dropped drastically. The beds weren’t that comfortable, however the bed sheets were clean and fresh. Also, bathroom towels and pool towels were very luxurious and in almost brand new condition. The stay was ok, but the place wasn’t what we expected.

A beautiful family getaway

My young family and I adored staying at this property. The home is lovely and functional for a family and also has room for further guests. The outdoor area is stunning and the pool, swing and trampoline provides hours of entertainment for my young son. We had the best time at Limeburners retreat. It’s a beautiful house with great new bathrooms and cozy living spaces. Loved the outdoor area in the back with the trampoline and heated pool. It was perfect space for our dogs, especially as it it securely fenced and has all grassed areas. From the front deck you can see the ocean and Melbourne skyline. It felt really private and you can’t see the neighbours when you’re in the backyard. Location is great as it’s in between Portsea and Sorrento and you can walk to the beach. Would come back anytime.

Roomy house with great heated pool to 28 degrees, inground trampoline which the kids loved ( ages 3 to 11) and bonus of table tennis table and lots of games in cupboards including Wii. The house itself is comfortable - located about 10-15 mins walk to front beaches.

exceptional property and very relaxing location

We loved our stay. The property is perfectly set up for a family to relax and enjoy each others company. The garden is brilliant with a warm pool, spacious deck and great trampoline, all within a easy walk to the beach. Heaven. We hired the house for our famil(2 kids) and grandparents visiting from the UK. The house was perfect. Relaxed, well equipped and with a wonderful garden with swing and trampoline to keep the kids happy. The pool was also a hit and a very pleasant temperature to swim and play in.
