About the host
Hosted by Julia Van Berkel
After spending 15 years in the UK, France, Italy and other Mediterranean countries, we finally settled back in our homeland, NZ. We chose Nelson for its mix of maritime/mountain environments as both make our hearts sing. Although we have explored here for many years before settling, we are still discovering new things and love this region for its diverse offerings.
Why they chose this property
You can see out to the mountains, catch a glimpse of the bay, feel secluded yet be close to shops, the beach and the city. You can be on a fast road out of town in 1 minute and are just 5 minutes from the airport. Close to everything!
What makes this property unique
Glynton, named by its brick layer builder from the 1950's, mean Valley Fortress in Welsh. We find its quirky little area's quite charming, and love what each season has to bring here. The deck and kitchen layout is made for entertaining, the pool is made for chilling. Children instantly feel the magic here, maybe you will too... Perhaps its all the medicinal herbs planted around the property.
