coastal walks and the nearby Dinosaur Dreaming Fossil Site for some interesting
history of the area.
- Enjoy the Cape beach house - a calm, smartly furnished, comfortable three
bedroom beach cottage situated in a garden setting. It is calming, clean, light and super comfy, ideal for families, couples, solo travellers, small group of friends, pets, with a front gate.

Highlights of the property include:
- You can hear the sound of the ocean from the house
- Split heating/cooling systems (one in kitchen and one in lounge room)
- Outdoor BBQ with bbq cooking utensils
- Large outdoor dining table in the backyard and outdoor dining table on the front
deck
- Secured with a front gate and fenced around the property

THE HOME
- Bedroom 1: one Queen bed
- Bedroom 2: one double bed
- Bedroom 3: two single beds
The house accommodates up to six guests (including infants).

- The kitchen comes with a large dining area leading onto a deck in front with an
undercover verandah.

Beach and spectacular views are a five minute walk including a rock pool - ideal for families, as well as a fabulous surf beach protected by a life-saving club in the Summer months. A very safe area with parks and play equipment for children. There are beautiful walks at Cape Paterson and around its beaches.

There is a lot to do for a family holiday.
Cape Paterson boasts fantastic surf beaches, an inlet beach with a rock pool. Great locations for surfing, paddle boarding, fishing, day on the boat or just fun beach days.

The city of Wonthaggi is only a ten minute car ride away with all the major and smaller supermarkets, hotels, the RSL, restaurants/cafes and shops etc.
There is also the local coal mine tour in Wonthaggi.
Phillip Island is a half-hour drive away.

The beach house is ideal for a couple's weekend away. The area is quiet, tranquil, cosy and energising.
Cape Paterson has a Tavern with a fantastic menu and a general store to buy your essentials.
14km and 14 minute drive along the ocean coast from Cape Paterson to Inverloch.

Perfect getaway

We had a wonderful time staying here. The property had everything we needed for a cosy getaway and was just a short stroll from the beautiful beaches of Cape Paterson. We were particularly impressed with how clean and tidy the house & garden was. We look forward to staying again soon.

Cosy beach house

We thought the house was cosy and we had a comfortable stay. We were so happy that we could bring our dog and would recommend the yard as suitable for a well behaved dog.

Great Beach House

The house was beautifully presented with lovely homely touches and an easy walk down to the great beaches and rock pools. It had everything we needed for our weekend stay. We even had an echidna visit which was lovely ! Thanks Rosemary .

Family Getaway

Peace & Relaxation at Cape Paterson

The house was neat, tidy & comfortable, with everything we needed for a great stay. Our favourite spot was the front deck - a great place to enjoy our morning coffees & later, a glass of wine. The bird life was a fantastic extra bonus.

Pleasant stay at a cosy house

This holiday house is comfortable and warm even on a cold winter's day and with 2 reverse cycle air conditioners should be cool in summer. The house is well equipped and the check in procedure straightforward. We found Rosemary, the host, very obliging amd responsive.

We had a very good stay. The house is nicely equipped. The living space with Tv is not ideal as there is not enough space for 4 people to sit comfortably. Fully enclosed backyard was perfect for our dog. The house is walking distance to the beach. Would stay again.

Annual Summer beach trip

This was our second summer stay here and we enjoyed it once again. It's a simple home but it's clean and tidy and all we needed in a beach house. Spent most our time out under the trees if we weren't at the beach. We'll be back!

Lovely, spacious 3 bedroom place with all the amenities you need. Appreciate having a wide range of cooking utensils etc to stay in on Good Friday. Close to the beach and other sights. Rosemary was very responsive. A++++

City escape

What a little gem!! This cottage is compact and perfectly set up for a relaxing break. Anything we needed was catered for. Spotlessly clean. Close to the beaches and a great coffee/takeaway shop. And we got to enjoy it with our little dog with a safely fenced yard. Thank you Rosemary. We will definitely be back but for longer next time.

Peaceful break

A great spot for exploring the local area while also having a break. The house is in a quiet neighbourhood with lots of bird sounds and a koala even came to visit! Wonthaggi is a short car ride for supplies. The Cape Paterson beach is an easy walk from the house and is stunning. We also visited Inverloch, Venus Bay and had a day trip to Wilson's Prom. The house was clean, tidy, well-equipped and suited our family of 5 perfectly. Rosemary made sure that we had everything that we needed. I would definitely recommend this property.

On a wintery Long Weekend, our family had a perfect time in this cosy house, playing board games, watching the footy, going for dog walks at nearby beaches and eating out at the General Store and The Tavern (dog friendly!). No open fireplace but the heaters work really well and quickly. Quiet street, lots of trees around and all safely fenced in. Beds very comfortable with flannelette sheets provided for the chilly nights. All kitchen utensils provided and easy to find. Wine glasses were missing so we went ‘Italian style’ in short drinking glasses instead. A truly lovely time away with a family of teenagers!

Beach wedding

Travelled for a beach wedding in Cape Patterson. Check in was simple and easy.Rosemary was attentive and helpful before we checked in.House was perfect for 3 adults and 1 infant and had everything we could have needed.Unfortunately the house had a flying ant issue while we were there which was unforeseen and a shower head that wouldn’t stay up to start with.Just dampened our stay a bit and made it tricky with an active toddler.

A relaxing long weekend

Despite the highly variable weather, we had a delightful long weekend in this very comfortable cottage. Our host responded promptly to my messages about how to check into the property, following ambiguous postings by Stayz.The central location allowed us to easily explore the beautiful beaches and bushland around Cape Paterson and Inverloch.
