Actually was perfect for a couple with dogs. Nice place to walk the dogs. Two bedrooms on the lake. Not far away from the city life nice places to eat around there.

We have stayed in this cabin on Carp Lake twice. It is wonderfully quaint, comfortable and cozy. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets, loons, eagle fly-bys, many chipmunks and an occasional swan! Not to mention all the shooting stars!It is perfectly located to visit all the local towns and visit the numerous lighthouse in the area. A day trip to Mackinac Island or Canada is a nice plus. Jennifer is a great host and responds quickly. We definitely recommend a stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful and the pontoon boat provided us with so much fun and beautiful sunsets. Having a washer and dryer is also a huge bonus. We would love to come back.

Lovely little relaxing cottage with a beautiful lake view. We enjoyed our stay very much. Its a quiet little area towards the end of the summer and close to points of interest like the Dark Park and Mackinaw City. Perfect for a quiet get away. I saw a review about an issue with neighbors over dogs barking. We had our pup with us and had no issues with the neighbors at all. We would definitely stay at Acorn cottage again.

This pet friendly cottage has a very inviting and homey feel as soon as you walk in the door.If the weather is cooperating I recommend renting the pontoon boat that is available.

Perfect spot to extend a vacation

We booked the Acorn last minute to extend our vacation after a week with the full family. The charm and warmth of the cottage was instantly decompressing. It was the perfect place to relax and take excursions in the area with our son and dog. Hoping to stay longer in the future!
