Thank you! We’re glad you enjoyed the peace and quiet our place provides!
The Farm was absolutely perfect in every way! The home’s owners were such a pleasure to work with, went way above and beyond to be certain our stay was pleasant and enjoyable, and so very helpful.
We’d not only recommend staying here, but hope we get to stay again soon!
We throughly enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse. It was quiet and peaceful with only some egrets in the field for company. The house had all the amenities we needed for our long weekend and our son’s wedding nearby on the shores of Lake Michigan.

Our farmhouse is definitely a quiet place with only wildlife to break the silence. The fields welcome deer, coyotes, bears (we've seen one on a trail cam), smaller game, and many birds such as geese, sandhill cranes, and turkey buzzards. The darkness of the sky makes for some amazing star gazing. And while this all seems so remote, we are just a 30-minute drive to Mackinaw City and 45 minutes to Petoskey and Harbor Springs for shopping, cruising, wine tasting, delicious foods, and all sorts of artisans and craftspeople.
This is a beautiful property that’s tucked away in the country. The house has everything you need and the owners are very nice and helpful. It’s a perfect distance away from everything. Not too far but not too close to the big towns and cities. Definitely would recommend staying there.

So glad your trip to Northern Michigan was made more enjoyable by your stay in our historic home. Please consider our home again should you get back in the area, we’d be happy to have such caring renters again!
Relaxing atmosphere, clean & cozy, refreshing and rejuvenating. All the conveniences of home. Thank you for a wonderful stay in northern Michigan. The hosts were flexible and friendly and made communication very easy. We explored the UP, Mackinac Island, and surrounding small towns. This home was the perfect place to come back to after full days of exploring with our three young adult kids, teenager and toddler!

Thank you for choosing our home for your Northern Michigan vacation and that we met your expectations. Our goal is to provide comfortable accommodations for our guests as they explore and enjoy this beautiful part of Michigan!
This farmhouse is all what you need for some true northern Michigan experience .I don't know what to praise more, the house or the surroundings. Location in decent drive distance from , Petoskey, Mackinaw city /Mackinac Island ,biking distance from Michigan lake and wilderness park . Great star gazing experience without the need of driving into Headland Dark sky park ( located in 20 min driving if preferred) The house is clean, roomy , extraordinary well maintained and very comfortable .I have nothing to complain , just A+ on everything
My family of five spent six days at the farmhouse. It is a peaceful, beautiful property. The home is incredibly clean and well taken care of. Everything is well stocked, from kitchen supplies to bedding, towels, sheets, and toiletries. Dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, etc. is all supplied. You do need to come prepared with groceries, which the hosts emphasized. There are no large grocery stores nearby. We enjoyed Mackinaw City, Petoskey, Mackinac Island, Cross Village, and St. Ignace easily from our location in Bliss. The beach at Sturgeon Bay is spacious, beautiful, and not crowded. We loved our time there, and would not hesitate to stay again.

The house was amazing! Clean and comfortable! Very cozy!
We watched deer in the fields and the sunset behind the barns was gorgeous! Perfect place to unwind. Mr and Mrs Marshall were very helpful hosts and told us a lot of the historical values the property has. We would love to stay again next year! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Peaceful, Lots of Space, Gorgerous, CLEAN Home for our ladies vacation!
This home has all the amenities and comforts of your home! We cooked/ enjoyed breakfasts and dinners at the large dining room table and the kitchen had all the items we needed for food preparation! Besides the gorgeous sunsets and sunrises, we watched a DVD on the large screen TV (no TV or Wi-Fi service) and loved the peace and quiet. The laundry room worked great and kept us going all week. The sightseeing 3-ring binder with all the local tourist attractions was very helpful - what a nice bonus we did not expect! The friendly people at the Mackinaw City Visitors office, were very helpful (work interruption for one of us), have internet service and was our 1st stop every morning. If you are a geology buff, you will love their rock collection and explanations regarding the long history of this area. Once we got lost coming from another direction and the guy at the local general store gave us directions as he knew exactly where this 100 plus year old historic home was! Small town America! We were there to see the Mackinaw City/ Island area (none of us had ever been there) and were always amazed at how welcoming, kind and friendly all the people we encountered were - A+++!! Over the top! Thanks for a wonderful time!

Bliss on Bliss Street
This was a great place to unplug. We went for 5 days without television, internet, or cell phone. It was like going back in time, and we were able to slow down and really relax. We enjoyed running through the country roads and through the labyrinth of trails in Wilderness State Park. The beach along Sturgeon Bay was completely ours, and the sunset views from the farm were amazing. The farm house was comfortable and functional. Phyllis and Bill, our hosts, met us at the farm the day we arrived and were very warm and welcoming offering info for dining, shopping, and other nearby sights. This was a great place to escape the “rat race.” I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway. I would love to come back in the fall because I have a feeling with all the great trees that the colors will be spectacular.
Thanks Bill and Phyllis!

A slice of Heaven
This home was delightful, with a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds we felt right at home, we were close enough to some of the most wonderful beaches I'd ever seen and the water was pristine. From here we could easily tour some of Northern Michigan finest tourist attractions and enjoy golf to our hearts content. The property is large enough our kids ran wild and free, we brought their bikes and they had so much fun riding them on the quiet road. Possibly the best part of all was sitting on the back porch at sunset and taking in the view of over the expansive landscape..it was truly spectacular and we can't wait to return.
My wife and I grew up in Northern Michigan. After college graduation we got jobs in Mt. Pleasant, MI where we raised our 3 children. We have now (semi) retired to our beloved Northern Michigan to enjoy all it's beauty.
Why they chose this property
Myself, my father, and my grandfather grew up in this house. Though the house is filled with history and memories, you will find it has all the modern updates and amenities you’re used to.
What makes this property unique
This is a dedicated historic farm. It is also a beautiful, peaceful place to land after a busy day of sight seeing. You can feel the history of the working farm of days gone by while enjoying modern amenities.
The sky is absolutely amazing here! No need to go to the Dark Sky Park! And the most amazing Lake Michigan beach is short 1 mile drive away. You will be able to catch every sunset either at the house or the beach as they both face west.
On the main floor is the kitchen. laundry, dining and living rooms. Also one bedroom and private bathroom are on the first floor. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and a second, larger bathroom.
