Beautiful location
Accommodation was really nice, although the windows were very dirty inside and out, there was dog marks on the outside of the windows leading to the balcony

Hi Carolyne,
Thank you for your review of Kooka's Cottage. We are sorry to hear you found the windows to be dirty and have since had them cleaned.
We do hope you enjoyed your stay and do stay again.
The property was as discribed, fit our family of 6 very well. Loved the warm and cosy environment
Would highly reccomend this property, it was clean and tidy and had enough room for our family. The children loved seeing the animals, mainly birds and the possum as we were there in winter. Was warm and cosy and just perfect to come back to after a day on the snow.

A Perfect Getaway at Kooka Cottage
Our stay at Kooka Cottage was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The cottage is incredibly spacious, making it perfect for relaxing as a couple or enjoying time with family or friends. Each room is thoughtfully laid out, and the entire space is filled with natural light and charming, cozy touches.
The comfort level was beyond expectations the wood heater kept the place nice and warm, the living area inviting, spotless and well-maintained. We especially loved how well-equipped the kitchen was, allowing us to prepare meals easily and enjoy them in the lovely dining area or outside on the patio.
Kooka Cottage strikes the perfect balance between modern comfort and rustic charm. It's an ideal retreat for anyone looking to unwind, recharge, and enjoy a peaceful stay in beautiful surroundings, also it’s only 30 minutes from Mt Buller. We can’t wait to come back!
Nick was a great to host! Respectful, quiet, clean and organized. We have nothing but good things to say. Nick, we’d love to have you stay with us any time in the future.
Possibly the most relaxing property I have stayed at in Australia. Plenty of space, cutlery, and amenities for 4 x people. Chris, Kelly and Casey were so easy to deal with. The location and property was amazing. Absolutely will come back, and highly recommend to anyone looking to completely relax and enjoy nature in comfort.
Beautiful location surrounded by wildlife.
House was warm and cosy when the log burner was on. Just right after a day skiing at Mt Buller.
Dog friendly and our dog loved it.
They property was great. Wild life was amazing and the kids loved feeding the birds in the morning.

Hi Leora,
We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay.
The bird life is wonderful up here. We also have lots of Kangaroo and Deer if you are up early enough.
Very cute spacious cottage. Upon arriving at the property and opening my car door I was instantly relaxed and able to breathe in the precious smell of the bush mountain air. We quickly unpacked our things and I heading straight for the balcony to relax in the fabulous hammock with a glass of wine. Nice little touches were the kookaburra food which was mainly eaten by the cockatoos however we were very excited to see a Kookaburra on our last day not long before we departed. really enjoyed our little getaway.
Spent an amazing 5 days in this beautiful little cottage. The cottage was warm and welcoming with a beautiful wild life presence in the area.
We had a quiet environment which was only a short drive to the gates of Mt Buller.
Most definitely will be back!

Excellent
Loved staying at this accommodation. Directions via email a bit confusing, please read email correctly. Loved Owly decor touches and warm, cosy, good feel of cottage. Loved games for the children in lounge
Only wondered why there was no blinds on the living room windows?
Did not like the thought of peek-a-boos.
Would definitely go there again and recommend for families though as this is so close to Mount Buller gates. Loved it 👍

Lovely tranquil getaway
Kooka's Cottage is a loveley cabin in the woods. Peaceful, cosy and even more pleasant than the photos! The only extra thing I'd add to the cottage would be some wi-fi but overall a great place to stay.

Nice lovely place to get relaxed
The place was well cleaned, organised and had anything we require to enjoy our stay. The first impression from photos online attracted our attention and that was one of the reasons we picked this place to stay. As soon as we got there we released that the place looks much better than photos. The host has prepared every amenities we would think of. The place has nice balcony which is perfect to lay down, relax and watch trees, birds and enjoy the view. River shown in photos, is about 5 minutes walk down from where the cottage is. Wood fire place is just made the feeling we needed for staying in the cottage. I need to say that, booking, information and the whole process was well organised and stress free by Chris and Rex who were managing that. We will definitely will go back there again in the future.

Peaceful beautiful Cottage
We loved our time away. We were looking forward to seeing other wildlife as in description. Only birds. I had stressed that we can not stay anywhere close to Pinnacle Rd due to grief issues prior booking so that did create some issues. Hospital / Pharmacy helped with those. Not close to Delitite River as in description. Apart from that it was a relaxing break. Pretty and reasonably comfortable.
We would like to stay again but according to the price, its gone up by $1000 which on a Carers pension is very expensive. I have contacted the owners but have not received
any reply. Unsure if bond has been touched.

Response from VrboOwner on 23 Mar 2020
Hi Dianne, Thank you for your review. The wild life is mainly kangaroo and deer and they are around at dusk and dawn. They are quite timid and will not always be around when the area is busy. We would like to confirm that the price has not increased. We offer discounts on longer stays which everyone is welcome to enquire about. Alpine Holiday Rentals does not hold your Bond, this is held by your Bank and automatically released on your exit. I can confirm that your Bond was released in full. Kind regards, Chris and Rex
