About Honni Chilcott
I work full time as a high school teacher and we have 3 teenagers. We live in Hobart and love to get to the beach on weekends.
Honni Chilcott purchased this House in 2005
Why Honni Chilcott chose Surveyors Bay
We built this house in 2006. We fell in love with Big Roaring Beach and the surrounding community and found the perfect block to build a holiday home for our family.
What makes this House unique
We designed the house so that all of the living was upstairs to make the most of the views. We love sitting on the front deck overlooking the ocean. The back deck has superb views of the rural setting and makes the most of the afternoon sun. Even on a cold winters day, it is impressive sitting by the open fire and watching the weather change over the ocean.

Enjoyed the relaxation and the closeness to the beach..everything you could possibly want..although the bottle of wine left for us was half empty..but that's ok..our dog neo loved watching the beach from the front deck..would definitely stay again
Karen, we apologise that the wine was half empty, we obviously did not see that it had been opened. Glad you enjoyed your stay despite this disappointment.

A Little Piece of Paradise!
What a beautiful part of our state and the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Loved going to sleep to the sound of waves crashing into the beach. Our little dog loved the beach walks, as did we. A perfect holiday.
We have stayed at Roaring Beach Retreat about 4 times now and we just love it. The house is easy to access, it's very clean and the view is amazing. Would highly recommend!
Roaring Beach Retreat is a 1 hour 15 minute drive from Hobart.
