About Gary Wells
Hi welcome to Blackwattle our home in the country, we are Cheryl and Gary and Blackwattle was our dream home come to life. With a back ground in construction and design we felt that the location of house was perfect to take advantage of the view and proximity to the pool and tennis court. The tranquil locality high in the valley has allowed us to achieve a perfect place relax and unwind with most of the creature comforts of home.
Gary Wells purchased this house in 2004
Why Gary Wells chose Bandon Grove
The design of the house takes in the view down the picturesque valley an features a large balcony to encourage people to enjoy the country air with a great outdoor living area. The Western red cedar timber used extensively through out was specially imported from Canada to give a finish that is knot free and flawless, the timber floor was cut from local blue gum hard wood which has proven durable but has a very rich colour and feel. Take a detailed look at the dinning table as this was created by a local craftsman from Huon Pine timber cut in 1880 for floor boards in a house in Annandale that was saved in the 1990's when redevelopment occured. The cathedral ceilings give the house a large airy feel with the dormer window providing indirect light, the craftmanship of the fine line joints is a celebration of the skills of local Dungog tradesmen. This house was purpose built to fit the terrain with a single purpose to deliver a special experience to the people that inhabit it, we hope enjoy it as much as we do Cheryl and Gary
