This casita is located on a quiet one block dead end street just three blocks from the Plaza. It has a living / dining room combination. The dining table seats four and looks out at the rear courtyard garden. The living room area has a loveseat sofa sleeper with all bedding available. Good gel foam mattress. There is a wood burning kiva fireplace in the corner of the living room. Fragrant cedar firewood is provided for guests. Screened operable windows throughout the casita provide nice ventilation in summer. Each of the three exterior doors are screened. The living room and bedroom have ceiling fans. Enjoy a mountain view from the front living room window and a garden view from the dining area. The well equipped kitchen has everything you might need for meals at home. The tiled counter tops are just plain fun! The full bathroom with tub/shower combination is also newly tiled and well equipped. There is a queen bedroom with good reading lights, dresser and closet space with robes provided. This casita has total privacy since it is surrounded by a tall stucco wall. The courtyard is landscaped with in ground plants and also big ceramic pots with seasonal color. Large trees shade this area nicely in the summer and the shade structure provides long season outdoor living. The patio has table and chairs and a BBQ. There is also a cushioned bench under an elm tree for relaxing. A large number of my whimsical recycled garden art pieces are displayed throughout the courtyard. As with all my properties Casa Verde is dog friendly and when the front gate is closed your dog has a nice outdoor space. I provide dog sheets for sofa and bed as well as mutt mitts for clean up. I do charge $10 per dog per night which may be left behind at departure. Casa Verde is part of a compound. Each of the three units may be rented separately of course or the entire compound may be rented and will sleep up to twelve guests. There is off street parking for each unit. On the property is also a laundry room for guest use. This downtown compound was featured on the 2017 Taos Home & Garden Tour. On a Saturday in August 500 tour goers had a chance to check out my style. A fun day indeed! If Casa Verde is booked for your dates please look at Casa Azul on the same property Vrbo 797997.

This very nice and comfortable casita is only a few blocks from the historic plaza. We were able to walk to most places around the center of town. The bed was comfortable and had a mattress warmer which was nice since we were here in February. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.
I loved the bright interior due to large windows and skylights. The well stocked kitchen meant I didn't have to eat meals out. All-in-all a comfortable stay.
We had a wonderful stay at Melissa’s property. The location gave us an easy walk to Taos Plaza with restaurants, museums, and shopping. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen is well-equipped. We would definitely stay here again!
I loved this place! So cozy. It was just what we wanted. The casa is a short walk to the plaza. I loved that it was dog friendly and the little yard is so great! Thank you for a great stay.
This adorable home was well-equipped, clean, and perfectly located to restaurants and shopping. Husband and I stayed two nights as a pass through and glad we did. Taos was a beautiful, quaint town. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming.
Walking distance to town, clean we both wished there was better more comfortable furniture in the main room it was just a loveseat to sit on for the 2 of us unless you wanted to sit at the dinning room table. Bedroom and bathroom was nice
Perfect location and space for a couple. We took our two Scottish Terriers and the back yard was perfect for them. Would definitely recommend and stay there again. Thank you, Melissa!
The property was super well located - close to town or to get out of town. Liked the casa - nothing fancy, just simple decor. Price was right. Worked for my husband and I for a quick Denver getaway!

A gem
This property is exactly as advertised and even more lovely than the pictures suggest. We stayed during the winter when it was cold and snowy and loved it. I bet the private yard area is absolutely stunning during the warm months!
Quiet neighborhood and fenced yard for the dog. We all had a good tome. Thanks

We loved the casita and would use it again. lt’s well decorated and equipped with a surprisingly large living room, kitchen and bedroom. The casita also has a private backyard and patio. The casita would be very comfortable for longer stays.
We’ll be back
Charming casita. Plenty of space. Comfy bed. Kitchen staples. Excellent location for short walk to plaza-area restaurants, galleries, and shopping. Appreciated Melissa's hand-written notes guiding guests on house amenities and protocols.
The property manager was amazing to work with and this place is super cute and in a great location… We actually loved it. The only feedback I would have is it needs some pretty updated cleaning. There was lots of dust, bunnies spiderwebs hair on the floor… But I would definitely stay there again it just needs to be cleaned.
Property was great for us (myself and adult daughter). Walking distance to lots of shopping and activities. It was cold (temps in the 20s and 30s), but the unit was warm and cozy. We will return for a longer visit in the summer/fall.
VERY clean. But not too fancy. Tile and wood floors, easy to wipe up spills. Great bed, heated Mattress pad. Fully stocked with housewares. The outside was full of great yard art. Just super. I'll stay again if I get the opportunity.
Casa Verde was the perfect place for my adult daughter and I to stay. We were delighted with the authentic New Mexico Casa. Lots of fun original art and Talvera accent tiles throughout. It was spotless with a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. My daughter brought her dog and it was so nice that the property was pet friendly. The patio and courtyard was very pleasant and we enjoyed having coffee out back every morning. The host was personable and easy to communicate with. We highly recommend Casa Verde and plan on returning for our next visit to Taos.

Not Again
I would not stay here again. Dead bolt on the front door could not be used, lacks security. Mold and mildew throughout tub title. Broken toilet seat and it is faux wood, not sanitary. Bugs throughout the interior of the property. Found small dark bugs in each room, in my luggage. The listing should tell people it is located in an industrial area.
