Welcome to Sandydoon - a place to relax and enjoy !

Nestled into the sandhills and with views of the coast, this is as close as you will get to the popular and renowned Goolwa Beach with the new Goolwa SLSC. Sandydoon is an easy stroll to the beach and the highly rated Kuti Shack - Goolwa PipiCo for a coffee or breakfast. After a swim, its easy to wander home for some lunch and then back to the beach again - an easy going holiday. Hear the waves rolling in at night and breathe in the sea air as you look out from the deck across the sea to the lights of Port Elliot and Victor Harbor in the distance.

Summer or winter, Goolwa is a wonderful holiday spot with everything to choose from - beaches, the River Murray mouth and Coorong reserve, historic Goolwa riverport and paddle steamers, steam train rides, regular festivals and markets, the high standard 18-hole South Lakes Golf Course behind the dunes nearby and a range of eateries and cafes to select from. Explore all that the Fleurieu Peninsula has to offer including the wine regions of Currency Creek, Langhorne Creek and McLaren Vale all within 30 minutes drive - then back to Sandydoon for a walk on the beach before dinner. The Encounter Bikeway passes nearby so why not bring your bikes and spend a day riding around the picturesque coastline - to Middleton / Port Elliot or further on to Victor Harbor. Great range of shops are close by together with surf schools that operate from the Goolwa beach car park. Sandydoon and Goolwa is a wonderful base to do as little or as much as you want and enjoy every moment.

Sandydoon has three well sized bedrooms (QB, DB, 2 x single bunks), spacious open plan kitchen / dining / living area, 1.5 bathrooms, laundry and outdoor entertaining deck with Weber-Q BBQ. Enjoy sea views from the outdoor dining and indoor living space and hear the waves rolling in. Relax on the outdoor lawn area with a dedicated outdoor shower to freshen up after your swim.

The property features split system heating / cooling and ceiling fans, LCD TV, DVD, 2nd LCD in main BR and guest WiFi internet access. Two undercover car spaces with off-street provision for a further 2 cars.

Kitchen is fully equipped including a wide range of platters, cooking utensils and appliances, dishwasher, microwave, espresso-pod machine, etc.

Main bathroom has separate shower and bath and there is a second toilet and powder room upstairs.

The house is fully equipped including linen and towels - just bring your clothes and toothbrush! There are books, games, DVDs and more for your enjoyment, including a number of children’s games and puzzles. A porta-cot and stroller are available for your use.

This is a great spot for a memorable family holiday, weekend getaway or winter escape with a good book and crosswords.

Close to beach with great privacy

We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the privacy provided because the house was set back from the street with the living area set upstairs. We look forward to staying here again.

Walking distance to the beach

A great property with everything you need. Bedrooms are small but the large living area makes up for it. Fantastic location and helpful host.

Sandydoon stay Nov 22

Sandydoon is a lovely place close to Goolwa Beach. We really enjoyed our time there. It was clean, very well setup/stocked and John and Greta were very friendly, responsive and easy to deal with. We will be back for sure when staying in the area again!

Great beach house - a couple of minutes and your on the beach

Perfect relaxing family getaway

We have now stayed at Sandydoon twice and on both occasions we have loved our stay. The property is perfect for a family, all the amenities required and close to the beach. The location is perfect.The owners are also a joy to communicate with. They are so accommodating and very organised.Would most definitely recommend for all.

A fantastic beach retreat

Our family had a wonderful week stay at Sandydoon. Extremely comfortable house 2 minutes from the beach with all the comforts at our fingertips. Most impressive was the owner John's responsiveness to us to make sure our stay was fantastic. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Great location!

The property was perfect for our family for the holidays. Easy access to the beach - could walk there with our tent, boogie boards, etc. The house had great amenities - board games, puzzles, books, beach equipment (although we brought our own), dvds etc. The pantry and kitchen was well stocked enabling us to make great at-home meals. Communication with the owners was brilliant - they are very considerate and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Superb spot at Goolwa Beach

What a great little beach house to stay in. You’ve seriously never seen a short term rental with that many provisions in the pantry for you to use. Plus being literally just around the corner from Goolwa Beach made it so easy. Plus the supermarket was straight up Beach Road. Many thanks Greta and John.

Great family beach house

We were thoroughly impressed with the timely contact and support offered by the owners. The house was presented nicely on arrival, making us feel "at home". They have set the house up to meet the holiday needs of both adults and children. The house is stocked with numerous DVD's, books and family games. The kitchen has everything you need. And most impressive is the short walk to the Goolwa surf beach. Great location and no hassle accommodation.

Great location for spending time on the beach - very easy walk.Property is well equipted, making for a hassle free stay.Note for owners (not for publishing) - we couldn't open the upstairs northerly facing windows with the key provided - needed the fresh air flow through on some of the warmer days. Also very small item - there were no bathroom mats provided as far as we could see.

The sliding door has a screen to allow fresh air as well as ceiling fans and new AirCon. We provided 12 bath and beach towels - happy for one of these to be used as a bathmat. Goolwa Beach

This property is a perfect spot to launch your south coast adventures from. A short walk (2-3 mins) to Goolwa beach, short drive to Middleton, Port Elliott and Victor Harbour. Day trip to Victor on the Cockle Train is a great way to spend a day. The house itself is a great spot to relax and unwind with great aircon and with all towels and bed linen provided, makes packing for your say so much easier. The hosts are great communicators and seem very experienced in the way they provide all the info you might need before you need it. A great stay, cheers.

Great location

Our family of 5 had a 5 night stay. Great location, very short walk to the beach. Sandydoon is kept lovely and clean and has everything that you need. We were kindly offered an early check in and also a late check out. The hosts are very accommodating and extremely helpful. We had a fantastic holiday.

Sandydoon Beach Holiday

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Sandydoon. The property is in a fantastic location for the beach, it is clean, tidy and well equipped and the owners were really helpful with letting us in early for our arrival and if we’d wanted we could stay a bit later on the day of departure. The little things counted lots and we plan to visit again!!

Relaxing beach vibes

Sandydoon is a perfect property to relax and recharge. Ideal location with a very short stroll to the beach and surf life saving club. The property has everything you need and John was very accommodating to special requirements and so easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend.

Great holiday home by the beach.

Good holiday home, well described in the ad. Lots of extra's that one might forget, condiments and spreads, milk etc to get through the first day. Also lots of appliances, utensils, crockery. Nice and warm upstairs on a cold day. Very helpful owners.
