My son and a friend had a wonderful stay. The condo was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and we loved using the outdoor hot tub. We were right across from the base of Terry Peak, so very convenient.
We had an awesome experience while staying here. The staff was helpful and kind, the room was clean and felt like being at home. Excellent views with peace and quiet to enjoy a wonderful week in the mountains of South Dakota.
Great place to stay. Hot tub and fireplace was nice to have with the cold weather. One and only downfall is it snowed while we were there and the road to the resort was closed for about an hour the first night we got there. Other than that, it was a nice place to stay!
A bit dated, but overall a very good stay. Excellent location and easy communication. We had our two teenage girls with us and really enjoyed our stay. Fireplace was a very cool addition. Would definitely recommend it to others and personally stay here again.
Very nice stay, for our family great! We truly enjoyed playing basketball and tennis with the kids… we weren’t expecting this to be a highlight. But great equipment! We also enjoyed our view at sunset as the sun crept below the hill! We’d definitely stay again!
The space was exactly what was said on the website, there was adequate tools in the kitchen, the space was comfortable, the access to Terry Peak was close and easy to get to. The communication from the manager off the VRBO was a little frustrating, but otherwise it was a nice place to stay.
Great place. Two bathrooms and bedrooms made it easy to vacation with son and my fiance. No ac but its cooler on the mountain and they supplied us with fans so it was quite comfortable. All the things you need to cook with pleanty of towels and pillows on hand. Very close to deadwood, custer, hill city and black hills national park. Stay and explore!!

Thank you for the great review! Glad you had a good time!
Facility, location, and weather was nice. Place is small, but is big enough for 3 big guys . Kitchen was small also but big enough and had enough utensils and pots/pans to make do. Does not have AC- which wasn’t an issue since it was 46-50 in the mornings, and they supply fans. Pool is close by and enclosed, hot tub was a plus . Staff is very nice, deer are walking by on a regular. Is at the top of a big hill,I with great view.
This rental was just what we needed for a great week exploring the Black Hills! The place was clean and spacious enough for the five of us! The beds were comfortable, including the queen hide-a-bed! We had plenty of linen, with an easy swap out for clean when needed! The kitchen had everything we needed for meals!
A couple games of pickle ball were fully enjoyed each evening! (We brought paddles/balls after seeing the court in pictures) We enjoyed the scenery off the deck with a cup of coffee in the mornings. The location is easy to get to all of the surrounding spots/hikes/drives.
Thx so much for being our home away from home! We had a blast!!

Thank you for the great Review! Glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay!
I could give the place five stars except it was advertised to sleep six -and technically it does- but the ad should say that it has two full beds and a pull out sofa, ideal for two couples, and three couples are possible. Two of our six men didn't make the trip so two of the remaining four had a bed, one slept on the sofa and one slept on couch cushions on the floor. Other than that, we liked the place. It's clean with hot water, linens, plenty of towels, and everything you'd want in the kitchen for a few days, or a stay of a week or two . Bottom line, I would rent the condo again, taking into account the sleeping capacity.

Thank you for your review, I would like to point out that the details for the room do say that there are 2 bedrooms containing a queen size bed and a queen sofa sleeper in the living room.
First Time going to Terry Peak. This spot had a great view and located close to the main chalet. Everything was clean and kept up. Only complaint is that we stayed in a lower 2 bedroom and the people above us were rude and noisy. they never stopped knocking and banging and thumping on stuff for 4 hrs straight. Not just a few bumps every 15 min or so, but constant. Luckily it was only 2 nights of our 6. Just wish it was a little better insulated between the units. Hopefully you won't be there when those idiots from Iowa are there. Otherwise a great stay, loved it there and had great skiing.
Unit was clean with plenty of towels and washcloths which could be changed out as needed during our stay. Plenty of trash bags and dish washer soap was provided. The kitchen layout is not ideal. The dishwasher is right next to the sink. With the door open, you can't rinse dishes and place in dish washer. You have to rinse the dishes, place on the counter, then put in dish washer. Sink sets to far back, hard for shorter people to use. Lazy Suzanne is in corner next to the fridge which makes it awkward to use. Good set of pots and pans. Laundry is 3 floors down. You have to go through pool and exercise room to get to. There are only 2 washers and dryers. The pool is basically a 20ft round pool only 3.6 feet deep. Hot tub design I have never seen before and it is hard to get in and out of it. Unit does not have air conditioning. After looking closer at the amenities, I noticed it was not listed. However, who doesn't have air in this day and age. It was stuffy at night trying to sleep. Our unit was next to the pool equipment or something that runs all the time. Opening the window at night was not an option. There are fans. I suspect in the winter this is a great unit with the view of Terry's Peak and the fireplace. Not so much in 85 degree weather. Thankfully it started cooling off towards the end of our stay. This place was not Worth the high amount per night that we paid. Owner needs to state in his description no air.

Thank you for the review and for sharing some of your thoughts. We did a remodel of the units which were completed in 2017. The kitchen was completely redesigned, and the cabinets were given a serious upgrade which gave the ability to install dishwashers that the units originally didn’t have. The laundry room which has a picture of it shown in the listing was a new addition to the pool room rebuild. There didn’t use to be laundry facilities for our guests, so we utilized the space we had to alleviate this need. Yes, there is a single flight of stairs going down to the pool room which is expected in mountain terrain. There are pictures of the pool, hot tub, and laundry facilities on the listing so that guests are aware of their amenities before they book a reservation. We do agree the natural fireplaces in the units are very popular during the colder seasons.
We didn’t list air conditioning in that building since it didn’t have it but we did list it for the building that does. This building was built in the early 80’s and wasn’t designed for it when built, which makes it hard to change. Guests have noticed that we are starting to work on the south end of the building and air conditioning is being looked into. As you mentioned toward the later part of your stay it does cool off, which shows our season is short when it comes to the need for it.
We were glad to see the unit had what was needed, especially when it came to the kitchen, and that the unit was clean.
Our family of 5 stayed in this very nice rental over Thanksgiving. Excellent service, great amenities, shower was wonderful, bath towels, bedding, etc. are excellent. Would highly recommend this rental!
We enjoyed staying in the Townhome which was very clean and well equipped with lots of dishes, pots, pans and cooking utensils. The location provided a spectacular view of the valley and a stunning sunrise in the morning. We enjoyed sightseeing and a rodeo in Deadwood and a trip to Mount Rushmore. There is a small onsite store which is where you check-in to get the keys to your place. The store does have some of the basic necessities which is great as it saved us having to make a trip to town. The owners were quick to reply to questions & the directions provided were easy to follow and the check-in and check-out instructions were clear and easy to follow. There is no air conditioning so we would open all the windows in the evening and with a couple of fans the place would cool down nicely, then we closed everything in the morning which kept the place cool all day. This worked well for us even with the July daytime highs in the upper 80s as the evening temperatures would dip into the 50’s. This is a great place to stay and we enjoyed our time. Thanks!
