About this property

Cedar Twig Cabin: Serene, cozy & quiet

This one of a kind tiny home was once a utility shed. It was a 3-month project & is such a source of pride. Lots of custom touches make this little cabin in the woods unique, homey & super comfortable! We have luxurious decor, loads of snacks & toiletries & gorgeous views from the covered front porch. Just added a kitchenette! (1/2022)We offer corn-hole boards, a comfortable swing & a relaxing fire pit. This is a perfect getaway spot for someone to refresh, comfortable for up to 4 people or a romantic ‘hide-out’for couples. We’re located just 25 minutes from Nashville & 15 minutes from the airport (BNA), so it’s convenient to the hustle & bustle fun of downtown, but you don’t have to deal with traffic or noise! Views are of pastures & trees, not buildings & concrete! We proudly offer soft, comfortable bedding, not bleach-smelling white, boring linens. The theme of the cabin is shabby-chic & the finishes are exquisite, down to the smallest detail. We’ve just renovated & added a kitchenette! (1/2022)Your comfort, convenience & peace of mind is our goal. Finally, and most importantly, we are Christians, so you will find scripture throughout the property.

Great weekend away
CTC is a cozy, charming, and comfortable place to visit. The owners definitely designed it to maximize every square inch of space. One of our favorite spots to hang out was the front porch in the morning. Location is ideal as it is peaceful and quiet at the cabin but you can be to grocery stores and restaurants within minutes and to downtown Nashville in about 30 minutes. We would stay here again and would recommend it to any couple or small family.

Peaceful and quiet
We visited the area to see our close friends with two small children. This was the perfect place to get away and unwind after each day. We will be back!

Peace and quiet
This was the first of two stays on our trip. The peace and quiet of the location helped us wind down after the travels to get there. However, a day trip into Nashville is doable.

Jim and I have been married for almost 15 years. God has blessed us with a beautiful home that Jim built and gorgeous wooded property. We have three grown children and a wonderful daughter-in-law. We own our own business, Behind the Bark… Jim is a carpenter and can build anything! We are super-excited to share our little cabin and welcome guests! We give all the glory to God & give Him praise for allowing us to use our gifts to serve others!

Why they chose this property

Our tiny cabin is a little slice of heaven on earth. It is immaculately clean, decorated quaintly and has lots of personal touches. Pictures really don’t do it justice… Just wait till you get here! One of our most recent guests said that the cabin ‘shows a definite pride of ownership and a genuine spirit of hospitality… ‘Could not have said it better myself! The mini fridge is always stocked with soft drinks, water and juices… Most of the time I have string cheese, fruit cups as well as cheese and crackers in there too! We offer a tremendous variety of coffees as well as specialty creamers, honey, and several options of sweeteners. We have so enjoyed hosting people from literally, all over the world, over the last 6 months, that we are currently renovating an old grain silo for our next rental! I cannot express enough how incredible it is to be able to use my gift of hospitality to provide a welcoming respite for the weary traveler, host a couple that just need to get away for a night or a group of young ladies coming to sightsee around Nashville! I personalize as much as I can for each guest and take pride in the fact that the furnishings and decor are not pretentious but are of good quality and are comfortable for everyone!

What makes this property unique

You absolutely cannot beat the location of our cabin! You are surrounded by trees and can only see other homes during the winter when the coverage from the leaves is gone.....& none of those homes are closer than a half a mile away! We love the fact that we are off-line and do not offer Wi-Fi or television… We will not apologize for that; we want people to be able to get away from their worries while they are here & be able to disconnect!
