About this property

Matteson’s Rental Cabins

Our three cabins are located just inside the Adirondack Park boundary line. Each cabin is 400 square feet with a full kitchen, full bathroom, and 2 queen beds. For summer fun, we are located close to many state lakes, rivers and ponds. In the fall the area is a hunting paradise with thousands of acres of public land locally. Winter time we are located directly on the snowmobile trail and within 15 minutes from cross country and downhill skiing trails.

Our hostess was wonderful! She checked in with us, and gave us a wonderful recommendation for kayaking. The cabin was cute and cozy, and was perfect for a couple days to get out and explore Old Forge.

The cabins are spotless and provided everything we needed for our stay; plenty of towels, pots and pans, and comfortable beds. The store next door has a wide variety of freshly made baked goods and premade meals. And, the property is very quiet and relaxing.

The entry door has a large window. While it has a film on it to limit what can be seen from the outside, a window shade would be preferable. Also, it would be helpful to note that bath soap, shampoo etc are not included. And while there is a coffee maker, coffee and filters are not included.
