Adorable Cottage on Traverse City's Silver Lake!

Silver Lake Cottage is newly renovated & remodeled. It is fresh, clean & the perfect up north retreat! Enjoy time by the lake with 60 feet of private frontage on 600 acre all-sports Silver Lake, *private dock with great swimming & sandy bottom, & bonfire pit by the lakeside patio. Or make the quick 10 minute drive to downtown Traverse City for recreation, restaurants & entertainment!

*Dock & waterfront guaranteed available Memorial Day - Labor Day.


Other Things to Note:
* We provide enough toilet paper, paper towel, garbage bags & dish soap to get your trip started; additional supplies can be purchased at one of several grocery stores close by
* The cottage has well water. Some guests prefer to bring their own bottled drinking water
* Firewood is not provided, but can be found at various stores around town
* Due to a short warm weather season, dock, kayaks & waterfront are guaranteed open and available from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. It's possible they will be available before &/or after these dates, but not guaranteed.
* This property is available for monthly rent from November-April each year. Ask us about off season monthly rates!

My husband and I stayed here in January for two days! It was cold and snowy and this cottage was perfect for the cozy evenings inside! Plus it was the perfect size for just the two of us! Very clean and had all the amenities we needed! Awesome view of the lake and a close drive to downtown Traverse City! We would definitely stay here again! The host had great communication and was friendly!

We found the cottage very comfortable and clean. We loved the beautiful view of the lake, and it is only 15 mins from downtown traverse city! We enjoyed being able to use the kayaks as well!!

Especailly summer, replace the shower head, and I’d give it 5. Put in a water softener and it would be off the charts Great place to stay

Cottage is extremely nice, clean, easy to find. Nice deck to sit out on with beautiful view of the lake. Perfect amenities. Beds not super comfortable but we were only there 2 nights. Host was amazing with communication. Would definitely stay there again.

Matt & I (Katie!) purchased Silver Lake Cottage in the spring of 2020, so we could be part of bringing families and friends to a peaceful retreat at a place that is close to our hearts, Silver Lake!

Our family loves spending time on Silver Lake, and it's our desire to create a space where families want to come back to enjoy, year after year.

Why they chose this property

Matt is a third generation Silver Lake resident! Matt, both of his parents, and his grandparents were all raised on Silver Lake. Silver Lake Cottage actually sits on part of a piece of property that once belonged to his grandma's family farm - our love for this place runs deep!

Silver Lake Cottage is a quaint and peaceful getaway. You can be as secluded as you would like to be and stick close to the cottage with 60 feet of private beach, or venture out to Traverse City and enjoy everything TC has to offer!
