This gorgeous apartment is situated right on Wanda Beach and delivers amazing sunrises. This property is definitely for those who are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Located at the most western tip of the Tomaree Peninsula, 2/197 Soldiers Point Road is almost entirely surrounded by the water making it a popular location for fishing and boating. Soldiers Point marina (2.4km away) offers two restaurants plus cafes. The exclusive Rick Stein Restaurant at Bannisters Resort is just 800m away and opposite Bannisters is the Soldiers Point Bowling club which offers affordable meals for the family and a play area for the little kids.
The apartment itself is stylishly appointed on the middle floor (street level) with 3 bedrooms and absolute beachfront. Nestled amongst million dollar waterfronts this beautiful executive-style home provides guests with easy indoor / outdoor living and a relaxed atmosphere. The open plan living room offers ducted air conditioning, floor boards, flat screen TV, dining suite and floor to ceiling windows to take in the breathtaking views.
The main bedroom features a queen size bed, bedroom 2 also has a queen size bed and the third bedroom features two single beds.
Please note the lock up garage of this property will only accommodate a small to medium sized car. There is other off street parking available for larger vehicles.

Absolutely beautiful!

Beautiful, spacious and clean property with amazing 180 degree views of the water. We were lucky enough to see dolphins swim past every morning! We will definitely stay here again!

That view!

We really enjoyed our 3 weeks at this property! Can’t beat the view, and the house itself was great. Well stocked with anything you could need on a trip. Bedrooms were specious and the beds were comfy. Highly recommend, and we would definitely stay here again in the future.

Walk in and enjoy

Apartment two is at ground level from the parking area and elevated on the beach side for an amazing view. The local shops are a short walk away and the larger shopping centre is just a short drive.

Great location, unfortunately the weather was not kind to us soo couldn’t appreciate the location. There were quite s few leaks in the lounge/dinning room which need addressing. Maybe next time the weather will be kinder .

Hi Terrie, Thank you for your review. Unfortunately the weather was very unkind to you! A lot of our properties experienced "leaks" and this was mainly due to the enormous amount of rain we received as opposed to an actual fault, the water just couldn't get away fast enough. I suspect this was the case at Wanda but I do appreciate you letting us know so we can monitor it. Hopefully you will be able to come back and visit again and actually enjoy the best we have to offer on the Tomaree Peninsula!!!!!

Magic view of the Port Stephen’s Heads. Just a hop skip and a jump from our beds. Kitchen and such were lovely and clean. Although the fridge lost some of its sheen. The Champagne when corked couldn’t stand up! The shelves themselves were broken and drunk! Just as well we had an esky! It was the only thing that was really pesky!!!

Amazing location, clean and comfortable, a bit tired

Fantastic apartment for a family holiday - location is absolutely incredible with direct access to beautiful beach and within easy driving distance to Nelson Bay and Salamander Bay town centres. If beach location is your primary objective, you wont be disappointed. The property was very well cleaned and presented but a bit more dated than the photos showed. It is at least 15 years old so kitchen & bathrooms are a bit tired, furniture a bit worn and carpet a bit musty. The parking arrangement was not great. There is a tiny single garage allocated to this apartment where a normal family SUV will simply not fit so we had to park the car just outside it, at times being blocked by other cars coming into complex. Place was comfortable enough with the exception of the beds - they are old, super hard and uncomfortable and linen was not really to the standard I was expecting from this level of spend. We would definitely consider booking again, but I feel the amount charged was a bit high for the actual condition of the property. Owners should consider updating or at the very least replacing carpets & mattresses/linen to justify this rate and give the place a touch of luxury and comfort.

Stunning Location!

This unit is located on one of the best beaches/views in Port Stephens. It was very clean, well equipped, and comfortable for all ages. We had a toddler up to grandparents, plenty of room for everyone, and level walk in from the street. The beds were comfortable enough, maybe a tad on the hard side, but we still slept well. The bathrooms were very clean, shower pressure good, all in all an excellent holiday stay. And sitting outside on the verandah in the early evening is magical (we did have perfect weather, full moon & high tides, so that helped). We will definitely stay again.

Beautiful view and location with very uncomfortable beds

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: the location and view are superb, it is spacious also, unfortunately what ruined it was; the beds were so hard and uncomfortable, like we could feel the springs poking our backs and we had to go a buy a mattress topper to be able to sleep there for the week. i think when they are charging more than 5 star hotel prices the very least they can do is get a decent mattress. second the flyscreens in the patio door were torn and no flyscreen in the bedroom (with no option to close window) and we got mauled by insects. There was also lots of cockroaches on average we would find 10 per night, i would call that an infestation, it was disgusting. we addressed these concerns with management who assured us the the place was pest sprayed 2 months ago. management arranged fixing of the patio flyscreen but not the bedroom window, and we were advised nothing could be done about the mattresses besides advising the owner. overall as nice as the view is, my sleep takes priority, i would not stay at this property again unless they address the issues mentioned.

Shopping at Nelson Bay, swimming and chilling on the beach at your back door and just not rushing to be somewhere. Great home cooked meals in large kitchen with great cooking facilities. Bannisters Sunday afternoon for cocktails then back to house (we got a taxi which was very quick but you could definitely walk) to enjoy a glass of bubbles and soak up the amazing views. Could do with a second fridge, but that's just because we took too much wine with us :-)I won't be looking for a new house next year, we will book same house next year for sure.
