So glad you enjoyed the spot—and totally agree, that hot tub hits different after a rainy hike! Thanks for the kind words, and we’d love to have you back anytime!
Interior of the home was clean and functional. However, hot tub was older and not very clean, including the water. Outdoor space of the backyard with the hot tub was cluttered and not welcoming. Outdoor table had ash tray with burned cigarettes and garbage laying around. House is also a condo, with the interior spaces only separated by a (locked) interior glass door. Conversations could clearly be heard with other residents/visitors which, unfortunately, occurred very early each morning (pre-6:00 am).

Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad to hear the interior was clean and functional. I’m sorry about the hot tub and outdoor area—this isn’t the standard we aim for, and I’ll share this with our team so it can be addressed.
We also appreciate you noting the noise concern. As the home is part of a condo-style property, some sound from neighboring guests can occasionally carry. Thank you again for bringing these items to our attention.
Had a weekend stay with some friends and the home met our needs and exceeded our expectations.

I recently stayed at this amazing house in Leadville, Colorado, over spring break with a group of friends, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the moment we arrived, the house felt like a cozy and spacious home away from home.

Hi Erica, Thank you for your kind feedback about the house and its great location. We are thrilled to hear that you had a really nice time and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.
We come to Leadville many times a year for training camps and races. This is one of the best places we've stayed due to the bedding arrangement and the large kitchen. The sauna and hot tub don't hurt either!
There is also a good amount of space for hanging out between workouts.

Hi Christi, Thank you for your time to leave a review. Were glad that you enjoyed your stay. Were looking forward to hosting you again in the future.
Older home with plenty of room. Upstairs better for younger folks as the stairs are winding. Kitchen adequate and hot tub was great after a day out. Would definitely stay here again.

Hi, thank you for your time to leave a review. We're looking forward to your come back!
Loved the hot tub and sauna! These were perfect after a day at Ski Cooper. Everything else as expected, had what we needed and was clean. All the lock boxes on doors is a little odd but the character of this historic home is charming.

Thanks for the review, Jeanette! We're glad you enjoyed it and hope to host you again soon :)
This house was perfect for housing a large group. We were only there 1 day but we would have liked to stay longer. The house was very close to many restaurants and shops. The house was one of my favorite I've ever rented. In addition to the clean, spacious, and great communication with hosts, it was fun to explore. It was a dream house for the kids to play hide and seek.
Thanks for sharing your house with us!

Hi Steve,
Thank you for your fantastic review! We're so glad to hear that our house was perfect for your group. We’d love to welcome you back for a longer stay in the future. Thank you for choosing us!
The house was perfect spot for our vacation. The proximity to the main street couldnt have been any more convenient. The history of the house was pretty cool amd the layout worked for a larger group. There can defintely be some upgrades in the house without compromising the original characters of the house (appliances, carpet, etc). The hot tub was a great amenity, however the water was dirty and needed to be cleaned. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

Thank you for the review, Johnny! It means a lot to us. We look forward to hosting you again in the future.
We came as an extended family (5 adults, 4 kids, 1 dog) to both celebrate my wife’s birthday and for Boom Days, with the main attraction the Burro Races. The home is ideal, only 2 blocks from the main drag, and plenty of room for all of us. Kids loved the hot tub. We only stayed one night so didn’t use many of the facilities, well appointed kitchen, washer and dryer, etc. The only downer was Boom Days does not want dogs, so we took turns walking him around the perimeter. Would recommend, especially for a good sized group.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We're delighted to hear that you and your extended family enjoyed your stay at our home and found it well-suited for your celebrations. It's great to know that the location, amenities, and spaciousness of the property met your expectations. We look forward to hosting you and your group again in the future.
The upstairs rooms weren’t the most inviting due to the very steep staircases with very short stairs. We were fortunate to have younger adults in our group to navigate those at night. The backyard was pretty messy with odd things strewn through the yard. And the neighbors yards were junky as well. Seating to all hang out in the evening wasn’t great either. We all couldn’t fit into the makeshift living room. House itself was clean.

Hi Anne,
Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear you found the house clean. The steep staircase was disclosed in the listing, but we understand it may not be ideal for everyone. We also appreciate your notes on the outdoor space and seating, and we’ll take them into consideration for future improvements. We hope you still had a great stay!
We needed a large house that would sleep our extended family and have room for eating together, visiting, and storing kids’ ski helmets and snowsuits. This house was perfect. We cooked all our meals in the large kitchen, and at night the kids watched ice hockey on the TV in the living room while the adults sat around chatting at the big dining table, and everyone who wanted to enjoyed the sauna. The hot tub needed repairs while we were there, but the host generously gave us a discount for that and communicated quickly whenever we had a question. I highly recommend this house for families and friends. One thing to know: the two staircases to the upstairs bedrooms (on opposite sides of the house) are very steep. We had nimble little kids stay in one bedroom and one of the younger couples in our party take the other. The rest of us stayed happily on the first floor! It was a perfect stay. We will look for this house on future trips to Leadville.

We’re so happy to hear the home was a great fit for your family and that you had a wonderful stay! We appreciate your understanding about the hot tub. Thank you for your thoughtful review—we’d love to host you again on your next trip to Leadville!
Great place! Very interesting old home with a lot of character. We didn’t realize checkout was at 10 so we were late getting out the door and they were very understanding. Only downsides were that the hot tub smelled very chlorinated so we didn’t use. And we got locked out of one of the bedrooms for awhile bc the door lock jammed (which was scary bc my infant was in the room). And it took some time to get in touch with someone to help. There were a lot of doors w a lot of weird locks. But overall it was a great stay!!

About the host
Hosted by Traverse Hospitality
We (Alex & Nadim) are grateful to be able to offer an outdoor focused community to our guests up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. We both love rock climbing, hiking, biking, skiing and spending pretty much all of our free time outside; we were even crazy enough to run the Leadville 100. Our mission is to help as many people as possible discover the magic of the mountains...which is why we founded High Rocky Homes!
We're doing our best to make real estate and mountain access more affordable for EVERYONE!
For our real estate clients, we give half of our commission back to our buyers and sellers, saving them an average of $5,000. This helps our clients furnish a new home or simply reduces the high closing costs associated with buying or selling real estate.
For our property management clients, we offer a service that has no restrictive contracts, a lower commission model and superior performance. This means that more booking revenue goes back to our clients to offset the costs of their mountain homes.
For our guests, we've been working hard to offer more lodging accommodations that are clean, affordable, and full of great amenities set up for active people who want to enjoy the mountains for short or longer term stays!
