Fully self contained accommodation. Enjoy a unique experience staying in the refurbished 1860's stone stables building, the original stopping place for travellers between Queenstown and Wanaka, part of one of the original homesteads on the Crown Terrace.
This self contained accommodation is in the separate stone building on the property, with its own entrance and off street parking. The Stables is comprised of two adjoining stone and wood rooms. One room has a modern newly built kitchen, lounge and dining area with woodburner and laundry, including washing machine and dryer. The kitchen includes a full size fridge and freezer, oven, gas hobs, dishwasher and all the required cooking equipment. Included in the lounge is a bluetooth amplifier and speakers so you can listen to your own music on your devices plus there is also a smart flat screen TV. The other room is a large bedroom with king size bed, ensuite bathroom with 'one of a kind' round stone shower and double shower heads. There are two wardrobes and sets of drawers plus a luggage rack and two comfy chairs.
Each room is a large fabulous space with lots of character and comfort. The access between the rooms is external with just a few short steps between the doors. In front of the building is a private garden area with outside table and chairs and comfy couch.
There is also a stand alone sauna in the garden to relax in after a busy day.
The converted Stables are part of a 5 acre property surrounded by century old trees. It is a beautiful rural location with stunning 360 degree mountain and valley views, enjoying lots of sunshine hours and one of the best places to see the sunset.
Arrowfarm is centrally located between 3 ski fields - Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Cardrona. There are fantastic views of both Coronet Peak and The Remarkables ski fields from the property, as well as the view over the Wakatipu Basin and Arrowtown.
Arrowfarm is on Crown Range Road, the main highway between Queenstown and Wanaka. Turn off State Highway 6 from Queenstown after Arrow Junction and it is just 2 kilometers up the 'zig-zags'.
The small historic town of Arrowtown which is 7 kilometers away has lots of cafes, restaurants and bars plus a boutique movie theatre. There are also lots of walks and bike tracks.
Queenstown is 20 kilometers away and the airport and central retail centre are a 15 minute drive.
Other attractions close by are the wine growing area of Gibbston Valley, 3 golf courses at Arrowtown, Millbrook and The Hills, many walks and mountain bike tracks including Lake Hayes and the Queenstown Walking and Cycling Trail. It is a 15 minute drive to Cardrona Valley and 40 minutes drive to Wanaka.
