About this property
Palm Views - 3-Minute walk to Palm Beach
Summary:
A three-minute walk from Palm Beach, Palm Views is a relaxed coastal cottage with leafy gardens, a covered outdoor dining area, outdoor shower, and flexible sleeping across the main house and a separate third bedroom with its own bathroom. Sleeping up to seven guests, it suits families and small groups looking for an easy beach base close to the playground, café, and local store.
The Space:
Palm Views is arranged as a two-bedroom main cottage with a separate third bedroom and bathroom at the rear of the property. This flexible layout works well for families, grandparents, older children, or guests who appreciate additional privacy.
The main living area is bright and comfortable, with wide sliding doors opening directly onto the deck. The living, dining, and outdoor areas connect easily, providing plenty of space for shared meals and downtime after a day at the beach.
The modern kitchen is well equipped for everyday holiday cooking, with the dining area positioned beside the sliding doors and deck. The deck wraps around to a covered dining area, providing a sheltered place for meals throughout the day. There is also an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach.
Two bedrooms and the main bathroom are located within the cottage:
Bedroom 1: Queen bed
Bedroom 2: Queen bed and one single bed
Main bathroom: Centrally located within the cottage
The third bedroom is positioned separately at the rear of the property and is accessed externally:
Bedroom 3: Queen bed and private bathroom
Please note:
Palm Views is accessed via a steep 75-metre path uphill from the parking area.
Guest Access:
Guests have private access to the cottage, gardens, decks, outdoor shower, and the separate third bedroom and bathroom.
Parking is located at the bottom of the property. The cottage is reached by a steep, approximately 75-metre uphill path from the parking area.
Check-in is from 2:00 pm and check-out is by 10:30 am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available for an additional fee, subject to availability.
The Neighborhood:
Palm Beach is approximately a three-minute walk from the cottage. The sheltered sandy beach is popular for swimming, paddleboarding, and relaxing by the water.
The beachfront area also has a children’s playground, public BBQ facilities, and Acadia Restaurant. The Palm Beach Store is nearby for takeaway coffee, ice creams, and basic supplies.
Oneroa Village, Matiatia passenger ferry terminal, Kennedy Point vehicle ferry, Mudbrick, Cable Bay, and the Heke Brewery & Distillery are approximately five to ten minutes away by car.
Getting Around:
The nearest bus stop is on Palm Road, just a short walk from the cottage. Buses from here connect directly to the key island routes, including Palm Beach → Oneroa → Matiatia Ferry Terminal, making it easy to explore without a car.
These services also pass by, or stop close to, many of Waiheke’s most popular vineyards, including Mudbrick, Cable Bay, Te Motu, and the Heke Brewery & Distillery.
Parking is available at the bottom of the access path, but taxis and rideshares can be limited during peak times and are generally expensive on the island. If you’re planning vineyard visits or dinners out, it’s best to pre-book transport or use the bus network where possible.
Other Things to Note:
Palm Views is supplied by rainwater tanks, so please be mindful of water use during your stay. Waiheke relies on sustainable water collection, short showers and sensible usage help us conserve this precious resource.
The property is accessed via a steep 75-metre uphill path from the parking area. Please consider this when packing or if mobility is a concern.
The outdoor pizza oven shown in older photos is no longer available.
Please note the hedge height at the back deck out to the water is 1.5meters high as the owners like the privacy from the owners below. This can block out some of the water views.
Beach towels are not provided, please remember to pack your own.
Minimum stays apply throughout the year:
7 nights mid-December to mid-January
3 nights on holiday weekends
2 nights at all other times
Interaction with Guests:
The Stay Waiheke team is available every day from 8:30am–5:00pm, with after-hours support for urgent issues. For any life-threatening or property emergency, like fire, always call 111 first.
