Little Lodge was a wonderful getaway -- exactly as listed. As noted the roads in and out require an AWD or 4WD vehicle but the directions were great and we had no trouble in our Subaru. Our family (along with the dog) was very comfortable. We enjoyed Luray caverns and New Market sites. Definitely hope to return again!

Perfect Mountain Getaway

We loved our stay at the Little Lodge! We were looking for a relaxing and cozy weekend filled with reading by the fire, wineries, and good food, and that’s exactly what we got! It was the perfect way to recharge, and the added bonus of being able to bring our pup along made the trip even better! Highly recommend staying here!

The Little Lodge

The lodge was amazing, cute and cozy. We got to enjoy the fire pit outside. I wish that road up to the lodge was paved.

A few messes

A few messes to clean up when we got there that the cleaning crew missed - nothing major. You will definitely need a 4-wheel drive to get up the hills. Lovely location, quiet.

The homeowner would like to address your concerns:- We’re sorry to hear the cleanliness wasn’t up to expectations; we offered a credit for the inconvenience, and our cleaning partner was available to return and resolve any issues, but the offer was declined.- Regarding the outdoor throwing game, two axes were damaged but still usable, and there were several other pieces available. These games get a lot of use and are weather-sensitive, and we’re working on replacements.- The toilet was working properly just before your arrival, but we understand unexpected issues can arise despite our best efforts.We always aim to provide a great stay and appreciate your input.

A place to relax.

A very quiet and secluded place to stay. I was looking for a place for rest and relaxation and this was the perfect spot. There was heavy rains the day of my arrival and the roads were washed out in several areas. Although it mentioned the need for a 4x4 vehicle to access the property, I feel a little more emphasis on this could have been helpful in the add. Otherwise it was a great experience.

Lovely cabin, very comfortable furnishings, pet friendly, and well cleaned. Owner adds lots of little touches to make guest comfortable. Games, outdoor equipment that is clean and new, books, lots of towels and blankets. Most pet froendly home ever.
