Stunning bach, awesome location!!

The lake views are incredible, the location of the bach are the best on offer in Hawea!!Check in was easy, the place is large and spacious, 1 big ensuite bedroom, and 3 other bedrooms. Expect a bit of wind given the amazing location.

Amazing location and views

Warm and comfortable house with everything we needed for our holiday. The views from the property are wonderful, with great walking/biking tracks on the doorstep. A short drive to Wanaka and good access for the ski fields. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again one day, many thanks to the hosts.

Our stay at the house had a few issues that affected the overall experience. The host was responsive and did communicate with us, and they were willing to adjust the check-in time, which we appreciated. However, it was only after we enquired about check-in that we were informed the dishwasher was leaking and wouldn’t be fixed until the following week. This was disappointing, as it’s something we would have preferred to know in advance.The kitchen also wasn’t equipped with the quality cookware that was mentioned in the listing, which made preparing meals more difficult than expected. In addition, on the morning of our checkout, the gardening service arrived and began mowing the lawns before we had even left(clearly not done before arrival), which felt intrusive and rushed.Overall, while the host was communicative, the maintenance issues and lack of amenities meant the stay didn’t quite meet the expectations set by the listing.

The house has everything you would need for a family stay. There is some routine maintenance being attended to by the owner but nothing that would detract from a great stay. We were where we needed to be in a home that met our various needs. Thank-you

NZ South Island hiking trip

Spent 2 nights in this lovely house w/6 adults. Gusty winds at first but views still can’t be beat. Very well stocked w/cookware, glasses,plates etc plenty for group. Construction of roads a bit confusing & house a little dated (beds) but very comfortable & great open layout for group gathering.

Spectacular views but not what we expected

The property location and views were amazing but it’s much further to get to lake access than we thought. The house has all the amenities needed but it was disappointingly dirty.

Great view

Property didn’t have kayaks, golf clubs or bikes for use as listed. Property manager didn’t respond during our stay when asked about them. House wasn’t very clean. BUT….the setup is great for a good time. Games, amazing views, great yard, great neighborhood, plenty of seating, grill, walking paths, great location from town and recreational activities.

Disappointing

This property has an absolutely amazing view but the house itself was very uncomfortable. We booked for 3 nights, but left after 1 night and found somewhere else (expensive exercise, but our choice). The house is very cluttered with stuff. The fridge and stove top were dirty, as were many of the dishes. We felt like we were trespassing in someone's home. My bath towel smelt of nicotine. Empty cigarette packet in the garden bed at the front door says it all. I could go on and on, but basically would not recommend this property.
