This was an amazing getaway from everyday normal life. The peace and quietness was amazing and exactly what we were looking for, it was very cold out trip there but we still grilled and enjoyed the fire pit and fireplace while there! We will definitely be back in the summertime. The host answers every question quickly and any issue is resolved very fast! Highly recommend checking this place out!

Perfect getaway!

Cabin on the Creek

We were seeking tranquility, quiet and nature! The setting provided exactly what we needed.The cabin was so cute & comfortable. Lots of time spent on the screened porch. Used the handy dandy grill for a nice dinner in. A day trip to Bay St Louis topped off a couple great days.Additional thoughts- A quick deck cleaning would help during pollen time.

It was Great except there was no room to put clothes or stuff we brought. closets were stuffed full of all the cleaning stuff and etc. but other than that it was a great stay.

So Romantic!

This was such a private, cozy cabin! My husband and I enjoyed the scenery, sitting by the fire on the patio, walking in the creek, and taking a stroll through the La terre fams hiking trails. We also drove into town for shopping and eating at a good choice of restaurants! Definitely would recommend!

Benign Neglect of a Great Little Cabin

Ok. Left early. Needs attention. No easy way to access creek. Cabin bedding and bath are clean. Other issues can be addressed by some TLC.I have left suggestions privately to owner in hopes that some attention is paid to the numerous minor issues that distract from a great little cabin in the woods.

Cozy, Whimsical, Perfect Couples + Pooch Getaway

We had a wonderful experience in Whitney Cabin. My husband and I along with our very athletic dog stayed in the cabin for five nights Thanksgiving week. We found that the cabin was well stocked with supplies - lots of towels, toilet paper, and even a few washing machine pods which we really appreciated. The cabin is decorated in such a fun way with all sorts of interesting and local artwork and the deck is AMAZING! We were looking forward playing with our dog in the bayou (clear creek with a sandy bottom) and she really enjoying chasing sticks. It's not deep and is "fordable" if you have some high top waterproof footwear.Although we didn't sit in it to enjoy it, the screened in porch really doubles the living space and would be great in the summer time and is equipped with comfy furniture and it's on TV. We appreciated it as a place where we could leave our outdoor gear and to wipe off our dog before going into the cabin.The water pressure was great and the hot water was good for long showers.The owners were so nice to work with and made us feel very welcome. The bed was very comfortable and we really slept better than most other places we've visited.We enjoyed taking our dog over to their flower farm and she was able to just run and swim and roll around and enjoy being a dog.I'd love to go back in the spring or early summer some time to see the flowers and really use the deck and screened porch and just relax.The Gulf coast was fun to explore and the sand was so soft. We spent an afternoon in New Orleans which was just about an hour away.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My Happy Place

Fell in love with the cabin right away. It was so quiet and peaceful. Very private too. Fresh tulips awaited us. Our Black Lab was so excited, especially when he saw the creek. Very cute and cozy interior. Bed was super comfy. One day we went to the owners property across the creek. That’s where all the trails are. Took a nice, big walk and after awhile their Black Lab joined us. 7 large ponds on the property, including a catfish pond. Our favorite VRBO of the 3 we stayed in while in southern MS.

Magical cabin on the bayou

Had difficulty finding it, as we came in after dark. So, just a heads up; you're looking for a locked gate at the road. Once inside the gate, it is just amazing! Beautiful winding driveway through the magnolias and pines. The cabin was quaint, and the furnishings very interesting. And then there was the deck, with a fire pit. Awesome ! The creek just topped the whole place off. Would loved to have explored the woods some more. Comfy bed. Well stocked kitchen. Nice shower. Clean cabin. (but the yard could be tidied up a bit.) Would definitely book again if in the area.

Down a long driveway, this little cabin is situated so that you feel a hundred miles away in the woods. It had obviously been freshly cleaned and had all the comforts of home in a rustic setting. It isn’t high-end luxurious, but it was very comfortable and well equipped. We were happy to have WiFi, two TVs, a microwave and a gas grill, the ability to do laundry, have a hot shower, and stay cool thanks to good A/C. Of course, nothing is very close at hand, so plan ahead a little, bring your groceries (ground coffee for the drip coffee maker) and a couple of bundles of firewood for the fireplace or fire pit, and maybe some bug spray depending on the season. The shaded screened porch was a delightful place to spend our afternoon, and we really enjoyed relaxing here.

We booked Whitney cabin for a short weekend get away. It was so nice we hardly ever left the cabin! The back deck area overlooking stream was very enjoyable. We will highly recommend this place to friends & plan to be back soon.

Great Relaxing Property

We wanted to get away for the weekend and this place was awesome. It had a huge porch and a screened it patio where we ate dinner each night. Lots of privacy with long driveway and surrounded by trees. The nearest store was like 20 minutes away so pick up groceries on your way. We will definitely be back.

Magical experience

The property looked even better than the pictures. Great deck, beautiful lighting. The host provided everything you can think of as far as ammenities( cleaning supplies, bags, plenty of sheets, blankets, extra toothbrushes, high quality soaps and lotions.So many beautiful thoughful touches, fresh flowers from LaTerre farms,all the fixings for smores, eggs, bread, butter and orange juice.I can't wait to revisit( maybe in the fall).
