Eagle's Nest on Raven Lake | Panoramic View | Hot Tub & Sauna | Lakefront Escape
STR24-00003
WHERE THE ROAD ENDS, THE ESCAPE BEGINS
Perched high above Raven Lake at the end of a private forest road and surrounded by forest and Crown Land, Eagle's Nest is a four-season lakefront retreat where the view becomes part of the experience.
Wake to panoramic lake views and morning mist. Spend the day swimming, paddling, exploring the shoreline or simply settling into the quiet. Come evening, relax in the hot tub above the lake as the last light fades and the stars begin to appear.
Every season brings something different to Eagle's Nest — but the feeling remains the same.
Here, there's room to be together — and plenty of room to disappear.
THE JOURNEY — FOREST ROAD The journey to Eagle's Nest is part of the experience.
Approximately 2 km of private forest road winds through the trees, with curves and hills carrying you deeper into the forest and farther from the pace of everyday life.
Then, almost suddenly, the trees open and Raven Lake comes into view.
You've arrived.
THE COTTAGE Perched above Raven Lake, Eagle's Nest was designed around its elevated setting, with large windows and multiple outdoor spaces that keep the lake and surrounding forest in view throughout the day.
Three bedrooms, all on the upper floor, and 2.5 bathrooms comfortably accommodate up to six guests across three levels. There is space to gather around the table, stretch out in the living room, play a game of billiards or step outside and follow the view.
Just as importantly, there is room to retreat. With multiple levels and spaces to settle into, everyone can find their own corner without ever feeling far apart.
It is a cottage designed for time together — without requiring everyone to spend every minute together.
LIFE BY THE LAKE Raven Lake is where summer days naturally unfold.
Swim from the lakefront, paddle along the shoreline, fish, explore the bay or head out on the water with the cottage's canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. Or simply find a comfortable spot on the deck and watch the day go by.
With multiple outdoor spaces to choose from, you can follow the sun — or the shade — throughout the day.
Back at the cottage, gather around the fire, play a game of billiards, settle into the deck with a drink or simply take in the view.
The best part is that nothing is required. You can spend the day exploring — or never leave Eagle's Nest at all.
A COTTAGE FOR EVERY KIND OF DAY A great escape shouldn't depend on perfect weather.
When rain rolls in or the temperature drops, there's no need to go anywhere. Settle into the oversized sofa with a book, challenge someone to a game of billiards, pull out a board game or simply watch the lake change through the windows.
The cottage was made for slower days too — warm, comfortable and spacious enough that everyone can find their own corner without ever feeling far apart.
And when you're ready to step outside again, the hot tub and sauna are waiting.
With reliable high-speed Starlink internet, you can stay connected when you need to. Disconnect when you don't.
The emails can wait.
As daylight fades, Eagle's Nest takes on a different character.
The last light lingers over Raven Lake while warm light begins to glow from the cottage. Step outside for the evening, relax in the hot tub above the lake or follow the softly lit walkway down toward the water.
As blue hour gives way to darkness, the lights of the cottage and forest become part of the view. Away from the bustle of the city, the night sky opens above you.
Then look up.
Stay outside beneath the stars. Or head back inside, pour another drink and let the evening continue.
FOUR SEASONS Every season changes the character of Eagle's Nest.
SUMMER is for long days on the water — swimming, paddling, fishing, exploring the shoreline or simply settling into the deck with a view of Raven Lake.
AUTUMN brings crisp mornings, mist rising from the lake and the surrounding forest turning into a palette of reds, golds and deep greens. It's a wonderful time to explore, slow down and enjoy the changing landscape.
WINTER transforms the lake and forest into a quieter retreat. Depending on conditions, enjoy ice fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling or skating, then return to the warmth and comfort of the cottage.
SPRING brings the forest back to life — fresh green growth, quiet mornings, wildlife returning and the first signs of another season on Raven Lake.
Whenever you arrive, the lake is always there — but the view is never quite the same.
CLOSE ENOUGH TO EXPLORE. FAR ENOUGH TO ESCAPE Eagle's Nest feels wonderfully remote, but you're not completely off the map.
The village of Dorset is approximately 15–20 minutes away, with groceries, restaurants, coffee, supplies and other essentials.
The surrounding Algonquin Highlands offer plenty to explore, including hiking trails, golf, scenic lookouts and year-round outdoor activities. Algonquin Provincial Park is also within driving distance for those who want to spend a day exploring deeper into the wilderness.
You can spend the entire weekend at the cottage without going anywhere — or use Eagle's Nest as your base for exploring the area.
The choice is yours.
THE EXPERIENCE From the moment you arrive, the intention is simple: everything should feel easy. The home is prepared for you, we're available when you need us, and otherwise the time is yours.
Once you're settled in, the lake sets the pace.
Eagle’s Nest is for those who want more than a place to sleep for a few nights. It is a place to reconnect, slow down and spend time together—or simply disappear into the quiet for a while.
Come for the lake. Stay for the stillness. Leave with the feeling that you've genuinely been somewhere else—and with the kind of memories that have you thinking about your next visit before you've even left.
LAKESIDE COMMUNITY Eagle's Nest is part of a small, welcoming lakeside community of approximately a dozen cottages scattered around an isolated bay.
Many owners live elsewhere, so the bay can often be wonderfully quiet. At other times, you may hear the natural sounds of a small lake community as neighbours and families enjoy their cottages and the water.
ACCESS Private access codes provide exclusive access to the cottage, waterfront and amenities during your stay.
NEIGHBOUR ACCESS An established lakefront pathway may occasionally be used by a neighbour to access their property.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
PRIVATE FOREST ROAD The cottage is approximately 2 km along a private forest road with curves and hills. The road is maintained year-round, but please drive slowly and carefully—the recommended speed is 20 km/h.

During winter months, a 4x4/AWD vehicle equipped with proper winter tires is strongly recommended. Please check the forecast and road conditions before travelling.
GENERATOR & WiFI A whole-home backup generator helps keep the retreat comfortable during unexpected power interruptions. With reliable high-speed Starlink internet, you can stay connected when you need to and disconnect when you don't.
QUIET HOURS To preserve the peaceful atmosphere of Raven Lake, quiet hours begin at 11:00 p.m. We ask all guests to be considerate of neighbouring cottages.

Loved our stay at the cottage! It exceeded our expectations tremendoualy! The drive there was a bit scary up the cliff but it was worth the drive! The host is super nice and communication with Chris was easy! Totally recommend the stay!
Terrific location and beautiful accommodation. I'd recommend taking a note of information to access the building and/or wifi before arrival as the phone reception is pretty poor. All amenities were great. Location awesome for exploring Algonquin.
A lovely retreat among the trees. The view was perfect picturesque Muskoka. The home had everything we needed for our stay and beautiful Christmas holiday decor to make it extra special.
Just returned from a Family Day long weekend at this gem! It was everything we hoped - a cozy retreat with scenic views, cabin vibes and premium amenities. Hot tub soaks, sauna steams, pool plays, couch curls, wintery walks, lake skates - there really was something for everyone... which is a tall order when travelling with teenagers and a pup;) We appreciated how well kept the place was and how attentive Chris was to our booking. Our only regret... not experiencing it in the summer! A must.
We had an amazing stay! Our hosts were very welcoming, responsive, and helpful. The cottage and grounds were more than expected. Clean, organized, and had everything we needed.
Our family couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the week. The location is perfect, quiet, peaceful, and has opportunities to create your own adventures.
We look forward to booking again and creating more memories with the family.
The cottage had everything we could possibly need. Lots of room for the grandkids to play. Everyone had a wonderful time. The neighbors on each side of us were very helpful and welcoming. Chris was very helpful and responded with kindess and respect.
Our family really enjoyed the serene location of The Eagle's Nest combined with the luxurious amenities (hot tub, sauna and pool table) and high speed internet. Located more than a mile from a public road, the private lane was well plowed and, even as a winter ice storm raged outside, we were comfortable, relaxed and enjoyed the beauty of it all from our hot tub vantage point. Chris, our host, has thought of every contingency to make sure the house can withstand winter conditions (including a back-up generator). The kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals in. The layout of the house and all it has to offer helped us make memories to last a lifetime. Groomed cross country ski trails are less than an hour a way but during our stay we were able to use the private lane as our playground for adventures in the snow. We loved our time together in the north woods. Thank you Chris for sharing your beautiful property with us!
Terrific cottage on a quiet part of the lake. We stayed with our three kids ranging from 9-15 and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Paddle boards, canoes and kayaks (two each) meant that there were plenty of options and no bickering. The host was extremely responsive and the whole process was smooth and easy.
The cottage is beautiful with great views of the water and fall colours. It is fully equipped with all the nice-to-haves while you're vacationing. The place is clean and well maintained. There's plenty to do on the property itself. Unfortunately, the cottage went into blackout due to a power outage within minutes of us arriving. Everything turned off - heating, water, stove, wifi etc. since all appliances were connected via electricity. Chris was responsive and stayed in touch through it. I will flag that the cottage does not sleep 8. We were a group of 8 and there were beds for only 7. One of us had to sleep on the sofa which was not ideal. Additionally, Chris reached out to us during our stay mentioning that there will be an additional charge of $200 because we were 8 people instead of 6. We shared with him screenshots of our booking that clearly showed 6 adults and 2 children booked. After realizing that we were right, Chris said that he wouldn't charge us extra to "compensate for the power outage". All the back and forth threw us off a little since we were there to spend relaxed time. I wish we would instead be compensated by taking $200 off the bill since the place was good to sleep <8 people. Other than that, we had a nice time and will recommend the place to anyone looking to enjoy the Algonquins during the fall.

Why they chose this property
The community is very tight-knit, extremely friendly and family oriented. They respect privacy while offering to have you join boat rides on the open lake and proudly boast about the history of the surrounding areas and all it's beautiful attractions.
What makes this property unique
The property is surrounded by Crown Land making it private, secluded and extremely quiet. It is situated at the end of a 2km private road that winds deep into the forest and rests upon a hilltop surrounded by forest and bedrock cliffs which provide a panoramic view of Raven Lake and amazing sunrise/sunset experiences. If you want to escape the noise and pollution of the city you’ve come to the right place. Be prepared to experience the quiet lullaby of nature, breathe fresh air and bathe in twilight of the stars
