Kia ora! Welcome to the arty house! We're Shayn and Sophie and love living on Waiheke Island. Shayn is a well known NZ Blues musician, travelling the country and world. Sophie is a ceramist, working from home in our workshop, running classes, selling work at the Waiheke Community Art Gallery and around the country. Keen surfers, walkers, travelers, our children have grown and left home, freeing us up to travel more and explore this beautiful country. Enjoy your stay in our home. This property offers a versatile holiday. With two bathrooms and four bedrooms (one is a sleepout) plus a fold down couch in the living room, this house sleeps 9 in total. Walking distance to Ostend shops and the famous Waiheke Saturday market is a huge plus, and the house is a short drive to Onetangi or Palm Beach - what we think are the best sandy beaches on the Island! Driving to Onetangi you pass vineyards Stonyridge, Tantilus and Te Motu, plus brewery Heke, and Wild on Waiheke. So many choices. Try the Palm Beach Store for the best toastie sandwiches north of Dunedin, or for a special night, 372 restaurant at Onetangi.

Being two stories allows for a sense of space and the outside veranda is welcome shade in the summer. The orchard is an added space for a quiet read on a blanket under the shade of the beautiful fruit trees.
