Peninsulas largest group accommodation. Relax & catch up with friends or family.
Reconnect with friends and family over drinks in-front of a fireplace like no other. Toast marshmallows (that we supply as a thankyou gift), laugh, chat, play pool, table tennis or cards in this amazing space all while cooking your food in a purpose built large communal kitchen. If cooking is not your thing then get some tasty peninsula takeaway. With a gorgeous view of the sunset, an outdoor alfresco area with fire pit and plenty of space. If you need to unwind, relax in the most epicically beautiful bath.
The space This property was made originally in the 1970s from reclaimed materials. Every brick, doorway and window had come from another property. The cathedral ceiling trusses were reclaimed from the old Masonics hall in Franskton. Let degrade over the decades, this property was purchased, lovingly renovated and reclaimed yet again over 4 years and turned into the beautiful lodge.
Guest access You have access to the full property up until the end of the building. We ask that you do not go down the driveway as it tapers downhill. The back section of the property is out of bounds until this is finished but don't worry. You still have plenty of space. The paddocks and chickens are viewable from the lodge but these too are inaccessible to guests too.
Other things to note It is recommended to bring lots of firewood. We supply a box full and have cut wood that can be used at an additional price. We will be accessing the back of the property occasionally while you stay. As it is a very large space, heating is difficult away from the fire place so remember your layers and warm woolies in the colder months. the pool is available in peak warmer months from Nov- April. This is an older country rustic estate that has its quirks but it is homely, comfy and uniquely special.

We have visited there with family everything was great. House was cleaned and the host was very cooperative. If there was any issues she was readily available.
The place was very spacious and can accommodate large group. We had 10 adults and 9 kids with teenagers.Bedrooms, Toilets and bathrooms are very clean.Kids love and enjoyed the common areas. The owner was very nice and cooperative. We are very happy to recommend this place. Surely we will comeback.
We had a great time at this house. Entertainment was endless with the pool table, table tennis and pool outside. Perfect space to getaway and relax. The host also made the stay better with kind and easy communication. Will definitely keep this place in mind again for the future!
Nice place for a weekend away with friends, plenty of entertainment on offer. Host is great to communicate with and very friendly. Would recommend for large groups.

Large house in a good location. Can accommodate 25 people. But the floor, couch, kitchen and beds are very dusty.

Good size for a group
Plenty of room for a large group with a lovely fireplace and nice retro vibe. Kitchen facilities are pretty basic. Worked for a family gathering of 20 where we were there to spend time with each other.
We had a group of 18 that were all couples.
Easy to stay together. Big open spaces so we could all converse & dine together. Plenty of activities and games for us to utilise. Had the best time and the host was awesome and accommodating to all our needs.
The house was far larger, more beautiful, and more comfortable than I had expected. The leisure centre with the pool was awesome. The owner was very helpful. We were group of 13 Kids enjoyed their games and very convenient to super market and so close to beach. Fully recommend to everyone. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Overall up keep.
The house overall up keep is very poor. Every surface was dirty and dusty, with cobwebs dangling down to the top bunks. The property didnt seem looked after well what so ever. The outside of the property smelled bad and the backyard was unkept. We left the property cleaner than we found it. The equipment for the table tennis table and pool table was on it's last legs as well. The power was cut at 10 despite check out being at 11. The kitchen and bathrooms were nice. For close to 2 grand for a one nights stay I excepted more care for the property.
The kitchen and bathrooms have almost everything we need. There are a lot of things for the little kids and teenagers to play with; however the house has no air conditioners and no fan in the main living room, yet we stayed there on 2 very hot days (30C degree) so my brother had to drive all the way home to bring portable fans and air conditioner there (he had to be in the car for 6 hours in total that day). I think it would be better if the owner installed fans or air conditioners in the main living room.

Great place, Poor communication
Kat was nice in person, and the facilities and location was great overall, however there are some areas that could be improved Communication was frankly very poor. As examples - I messaged if we could check in early and did not receive an answer. The text chain was essentially "are we able to check in at 12 instead of 2 on Saturday?". And the reply was "I am running a workshop on Friday." ... So maybe that means no but it's not really a direct answer and it's pretty easy to say yes or no to a simple and common request - the host said she tried to called me to discuss extra fees for linen but couldn't get through. Given I have no voice messages, missed calls, or texts of any kind even when calling message bank this is not particularly believable. Even giving her benefit of the doubt and saying she has tried to call, this means she has tried once and didn't try again, and also it means she has wanted to contact me but then didn't bother texting in the app even though we had already had a text chain. Lastly, there is a 25 fee per bed on top of the listed price if you want linen provided. This is not very easy to find in the listing at all, so aside from being overpriced to provide bed sheets, it feels quite dishonest as it's buried in the fine print. Basically it would not be hard to make that more visible and obvious. Finally, there is no fan/AC in the main living space so it can get quite hot.
I looked through the ridiculous amount of delapitation at this property to see the heart of a truly unique and beautiful space. Over years I worked to reclaim the lodge, sanding back every bit of wood and bringing it back to live. With an extensive renovation to put in some modern comforts and enable this property to sleep large groups, the hard work, sweat, tears and joy is evident in this unique space. Its unique, its healing, its rustic, its reloved and I have no doubt it will make an impression and give you an experience you will never forget. I teach scuba diving and love offering this space to people to relax and unwind.
Why they chose this property
You wont find one like it on the Mornington Peninsula. Its huge, its unique and its perfect to catch up with all of your friends and family.
