Three-bedroom A-frame cottage with a hot tub on a beautiful lakefront property available for rent through all seasons. The space can accommodate 6 people with 2 queen beds, 1 double bed, 1 single bed trundle, and a pullout couch. Perfect for couples, small families, and friends looking for a relaxing getaway. The space
The property is winterized with 2 floors / 3 bedrooms on a grassy level south-facing lot with gradual sandy shoreline. Large, south-facing windows fill the cottage with natural light throughout the day. The back deck and dock receive natural sunlight all day long! The cottage is surrounded by a grass lawn with trees on either side of the lot. It is set > 50m from the road - the perfect recipe for a private escape. At the end of the day, enjoy the view of Horseshoe Lake from the hot tub, which is available for guests' use throughout all four seasons. A wood-burning fireplace and baseboards make Horseshoe Hideaway perfectly suited for a cozy retreat in the winter and fall.

The main floor consists of an open concept kitchen, a living area, three bedrooms, a wood-burning fireplace, and one bathroom. The kitchen is fully stocked with ample place settings, utensils, basic spices, oils, and cookware. There is a coffee-maker (ground coffee is provided) and toaster oven. The tap water is UV-filtered and drinkable!

For longer and remote work stays, there are two working areas (photos have not been updated): one desk in the loft area upstairs, and a second desk in one of the bedrooms. If you are looking to escape to a country retreat to focus and enjoy nature with reliable interest, then the Horseshoe Hideaway is for you! Our wi-fi is powered by Rogers Wireless Home Internet. Wireless speeds are fast enough to support multiple video calls and streaming in HD with no issues!

If the nearby hiking and biking trails aren’t enough, you can take advantage of the small home gym setup in the loft. We have several sets of dumbbells (5 lbs to 25 lbs), resistance bands, Pilates balls and yoga mats to keep up your workout routine during your stay.

Board games, including chess, backgammon, Clue, Monopoly, Settlers of Catan, Code Names, and Pictionary are available for use to make the most of a cozy weekend up north. The second floor is a den area that includes a chaise, a pullout couch, desk and chair, and an Apple TV (with Netflix, Amazon Prime, the Peloton App, and a DVD Player).

In the warmer months, enjoy the company of family and friends as you’re grilling up something delicious on the propane BBQ. Patio table seats 6, and there are additional Muskoka chairs. An outdoor firepit makes for the perfect nightcap – s’mores of course!

The beach area is particularly great for young children, there is no steep drop-off and is sandy. Use of the property’s canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards is included. There is no marina on the lake, but a nearby boat launch makes it convenient to enjoy your watercraft for cruising, tubing and waterskiing. Depth of water at the end of the dock is approximately 6 feet for docking purposes.
