The host was great to deal with, easy and fast communication. The home was lovely, a true batch, some aging features, not perfect, but that's how it should be. Everything worked well and the outdoors, including the deck and back yard, were equally great.
Welcoming home with beautiful ambience. Good stay for family as the house provides full range kitchen facilities, TV with internet and plenty of board games for the kids. Fresh choice super market is couple of mins away, and plenty of restaurants located around it. We tried OSha Thai cuisine and it is awesome.Just had a thought that it would be nice to have a hot/cold water mixer in the bathroom sink, would be pretty handy during winters. Also shower has a little low pressure, not sure if I missed out on any setting for it, took a bit long to finish our showers.House surrounded by greenery all around, one covered parking that can fit a medium SUV, though we have plenty of parking all around.
We loved our family stay at The Birds Nest, which was indeed a cosy chalet as advertised. It is priced very well making it an affordable option, and the central location was perfect for heading either towards Collingwood and Wharariki, or Tata Beach and the Able Tasman. It’s also very close to Takaka if you want to explore the shops or pick up supplies. We struck rainy weather on one day but enjoyed being tucked up listening to the rain on the roof. The Chalet had everything you needed, with a pretty semi-rural outlook, and great communication from the hosts. Can’t wait to return in summer weather!!
